What if two users submit the same piece of news? What if one is on the news team but the other isn't? Does the article from the team member get priority?

Will everyone who submits an article PLEASE cite your source? We can't post something without a source!

@ioi

Its a fantastic feature. Even better than the user reviews one!!

I always felt VGC was a little slow in getting the news, but now if the site is up to date with news more people will visit too!

Just one slight addition would be great, a tab to tell the VGC team where we got the news from, so a "source" link, just so they know we aren't making news up.

Post the URL of your source at the bottom of the article, we can take it from there.

Also guys please do not plagiarize, we will get in tons of trouble if we put up plagiarized articles.

Also don't submit things that aren't news!

Especially do not submit PLAGIARIZED things that aren't news, even if it's sourced!

@khuutra

ok I'll do that from next time

Because to me sometimes it felt weird not giving a source, because technically anyone could make up some lies.

So it's not so much "news" as it is an easy way to get links to other sites without having to go there? I mean, aren't we just doing the same things we do in the forums when we post an interesting link off to joystiq or kotaku or GAF or something/somewhere? I'm not sure I see the difference. Am I missing something?

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

Hm, could be trying this. Question, when we source an article from any site, should we edit the article a bit or should we left it "as is"? When I create threads with news articles, I usually copy the article word-for-word and add the source

One more thing

Can we not have the "upload image for this article" from a URL too?

Because having to download the image we want in the "intertitle" bit on our article every time we post an article can be a bit too much.

Still if its not possible to change that no worries
