i dont care about japanese voices. and uncharted and metal gear sound awesome by the way.
i dont speak english obiously but i want better voice actor. isnt this industry bigger than the music ind and the movies ind?

Sometimes I listen to the japanese tracks because the english tracks are terrible, and sometimes...yes, they just sound a lot cooler. Some anime, however, is better in English. The VA for Trigun for instance. DBZ also was made significantly better with the English VA. The evangellion english VA is as good as the Japanese counterpart, and some films, like Moving Castle have much, much better english VA than most things ever released.

People like to sound hip by saying this or that english VA sucks, but honestly, most of them don't know what they are talking about, like in this case for instance....imo that is.

VA doesn't get much better than that. Listen to it again. It's not the usual cheesy anime VA you are used to. This is obviously high dollar work. Listen to it again.

...and no, this industry isn't bigger than the music or movie industry. In fact, it is much, much smaller, if my assumptions are correct. That is why this VA is so impressive.

Well I'll give you an example.  Anime is easier so I'll go with that.  Someone growing up in Okinawa is going to sound different from someone growing up in Hokkaido from someone growing up in Tokyo (Kanto).  I don't remember what show I was watching but the Japanese VA spoke with an accent as someone from Okinawa would speak and someone I was watching it with criticized it for sounding odd and different.  It's like going from Wisconsin to Mississippi and expecting the people to speak exactly the same.  The hiring staff actually took the time to get someone with a proper accent and you're criticizing it?  That kind of thing frustrates me.

To your second question, I'm far from fluent but I know enough to get by on a field-trip to Japan and longer if I would be forced to.  Though I would rather not have to stay in Japan for anything longer than a field-trip or mini-vacation.

no, i DONT speak english (im from argentina) but uncharted VA and mgs 4 VA sound way way better and those games were cheaper than ffxiii.

Because I speak english the voice actors sound really stupid for most Anime/Japanese games. However because I don't speak Japanese, so long as they sound 'ok' they never sound stupid to me. Even if how they are speaking in Japanese is terrible.

When I watched DBZ back in the day, I watched the Japanese version because the English one was too damn censored! Both in words and action. The acting itself was pretty good and they really got better as the series progressed, especially with the main cast.

She sounds too manly imo. She looks much more dainty than her English VO sounds.
