Now that's funny. You call the Resistance series generic and then talk about Killzone 2 like it isn't. And I seriously doubt I would buy R3. The first one wasn't bad and was a good throwback to older FPS games, the second one just wasn't that good at all and they threw out a lot of the things that made the first enjoyable, so I'm just not expecting much from the third. There are plenty of generic shooters that I can play now, why wait? |
killzone 2 is generic to those that are too ignorant to understand its controls

Ouch, a little testy there aren't we? I got the controls just fine and even finished the game. It a complete run of the mill shooter and nothing much else. Gameplay wise it doesn't do anything fantastic or even especially good but for the most part it's gameplay holds up well so the game isn't at least bad (I believe I gave it around an 8.2-8.3).
The only daring thing in the game other than the (great) graphics was the cover and even that really wasn't that good.

Tease.
R2 was a huge disappointment. Very generic and the large-scale bosses had so much potential....instead they were put to waste. Many of them involve just dumping clip after clip till they're on dead. It had one of the most dull campaigns I've played in a while.
And Like Skeeuk said, it takes way too many shots to kill one guy. That combined with the hardcore autoaim makes it feel like what Warhawk would be without any vehicles - horrible.
yes probably. I want to see what happens to Nathan Hale especially after that R2 ending

Playing half a game isnt a great way to judge something

Then you really don't like reviewmagazines/sites =p.
I loved R1 but R2 had a horrible SP and MP IMO. The only decent part was the co-op mode with a clan. I have no plans to buy R3 at this time and i'm looking forward to CoD7 that winter.
HELL YES!!!!, CHIMERA RULES....i mean RESISTANCE RULES
