Hehe, Nintendo already owns casual crowd, and on it's way take over sport crowd - those two are vast majority of gamers. "Halo audience," i.e. shooter crowd, I'd say, they looking for two things - graphics and online. I guess if nextgen Nintendo system will be relevant at these fields (and it's already relevant in online, WFC crowd > PSN crowd) and there will be some effort put into these games (including by Nintendo itself, maybe, not 1st party, but 3rd party on contract agreement) - why not? Next GoldenEye, Perfect Dark and Turok trilogy experience (well, not exactly these franchises, as long as they're not Nintendo IPs). Conduit though won't sell system, and Nintendo wouldn't be able to win over "Halo audience", not anytime soon.

If Nintendo manage to promote The Conduit correctly, then yes, it will be attractive to FPS fans (Halo fans in majority are FPS fans).

I've got to say, I feel sorry for the conduit developers, reggie is putting undue stress on them, in essence regie is hyping this game way to much, I mean saying that the conduit will in otherwords convert those who bad mouth the wii, will just make this game fail regardless of how good it is, and it doesn't help when the game gets rated like 76/100 cuz a game hyped is seen as a failure if it's not 90 and up.

Yeah I can't see this, Fils-Aime is really being overly optimistic. Halo fans are FPS fans, true, but its also the setting, the backstory, and of course, with the 360, HD graphics. The Conduit is a new story, in SD, using motion controls. I won't deny that if it does well, the Conduit can become a successful IP and build a fanbase, but I can't see Halo fans flocking to it. As with all else, even if the Conduit does well, Halo fans are more likely to discredit it than adopt it.

No, just no.

In a world that already contains a Halo it is insufficient for The Conduit to be "as good as Halo" if they want to win people over.  Halo players will just keep playing what they already have.

To get people to shell out the cash for a new system you have to considerably surpass what they already have, and from what I've seen I don't think The Conduit does.

“The near-term opportunity is the consumer who owns a PS3 or an Xbox 360 and has been bad-mouthing Wii to their friends. We can reach that consumer with games like The Conduit or Tiger Woods with Wii MotionPlus.

I can't believe that no one picked up on Reggie's jab at the fanboys who suddenly switched their thoughts on motion control.

Basically he is saying "If you now like the idea of motion control, come play games that have it NOW."

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.
