Forums - Microsoft - Turn 10: Polyphony checked out Forza 3 at E3

It was a full CG video made before they got the development kit...

Anyone can make a ultra high detail CG video claiming it's the next gen PS4 game trailer right now.

It doesn't matter how long it took them to make cars and tracks. GT3 and GT4 were on the same system and it took Polyphony four years in between the two games. By your logic GT 1-3 could've been completed within a year, instead of 2 years. You see, Polyphony demoed GT3 the exact year the PS2 came out, which means they were already in development the second GT2 launched or even before it launched on the PSone. If you follow the timelines, you will see that the devs worked on GT5 on the PS3 GT before the PS3 even came out and GT5 as announced at E3 2006 and was shown with demonstration, which means Polyphony was been developing the game since 2005 when the last GT was launched. GT5 was able to be launched by 2007, but Gran Turismo prologue was what you recieved. That was exactly how far they were at that time. The game is 5 years in the making. Stop arguing with me.

That's all your own speculation.

Sony didn't start to send out development kits until Aug 2006. (for 3rd party devs)

Do you really think PD was able to get one of those 1.5yrs before hand?

I don't even need to read that crap. I know what I am talking about. This is a video of GT 5 from 2005 (Before the PS3 came out) at E3 2005.

@ STAGE wasn't that CGI video outsourced to a different company?

So if GT5 had been shown at the show, no one from Turn 10 would have checked GT5 out? They would have been so sure of their game that they wouldn't have checked out the competition, asked about what features it has, and taken pictures of what the game looks like?

I'm sure that at trade shows for other industries, everyone is checking out the competition. Except that in those other trade shows, companies don't get arrogant just because someone from a competing company checked them out.  No company operates while being completely blind to what is going on around them.

By your logic, FF 7 PS3 remake confirmed?

They showed a CGI video demo years ago so by now they should be done anytime soon, right?

FF7 remake has been in development since 2006 confirmed.

Um...no. That footage was taken from E3 2005 by Gamespot. The game was actually demoed in 2006 with the final version of the PS3 at E3 2006.

You're in denial. It showed the game in action.

demoed? lol.

It was a CGI video SHOWN to the public.

BTW, FF7 remake confirmed.

@FKNetwork

I'm willing to bet 1 week sig control that GTP will outsell forza 3.

Forza 2 was heavily bundled (Elite and Pro models around the world I think. I'm not to sure about in Japan) about 6 months after it launched for Q4 '07. It was pretty obvious the game was slowing fairly fast. And also... the game was forced bundled if you wanted a HDD! Who is to say that the people who bought the bundles will be Forza 3 fans because of Forza 2? I say forza 2 sells less than 3 million unless its extensivly buncled yet again. I say GTP will sell 600k in Japan alone.

Final Fantasy 7 is going to be released on the PSP. Square was asked recently during a FFXIII demonstration whether they were working on FF7 for the PS3 and they said no, but it was a good idea. I believe it was either IGN or Gamespot that interviewed them when I saw it.
