That's part of Nintendo Trolling 1.2. It was introduced in an early patch as an attempt to create some sort of legitimacy. Unfortunately, our detractors eventually discovered this strategy, and now begin to suspect the opposite as soon as "I love Nintendo, but..." is uttered. Now, it is suggested that one attempts to come off as a neutral bystander taking an objective look at the industry. Unfortunately, doing so requires careful use of diction and considerable skill with prose, whereas Nintendo trolls specialize more in logical fallacies and smoke and mirrors.
