good point--i only see the wii being a big p;ayer for about another 3-4 years before it gets an over haul like the DS did


 But going from the DS to the DS lite wasn't a different platform. Just a revision, much like the PS2 saw several. If the Wii does see a console revision, that wouldn't mean it was a different console.

So PS3 releasing a hardcore game will TOTALLY dominate a casual game releasing into a huge market.

Honestly, you guys are getting worried because the Wii is having like 2-3 low weeks. Well, this is a downtime in japan every year and Halo 3 just came out. Holiday season will be incredible for the Wii. I promise.

Stof--no i dont mean just a slim down or somethgin--i mean a upgrade--take on something more then a flash memory--mabye upgrade the GPU and CPU to somethign that could handle HD and put it back on the market at 250---then drop the original wiis down to just over 100 and blam---

I still doubt it mesoteto. Just a personal hunch is all.

I'd also like to point out that the Wii will have outsold the Gamecube in Japan by the end of 2007. And that the PS3 is currently selling fairly below Gamecube levels. Considering that Japan is the only reason for speculation on the Wii's slowdown, I think that pretty much puts the argument to rest.

It won't slow down with games like mario galaxy, ssb and mario kart in the pipeline. The best thing about those games is that they appeal to almost everyone. Games lead to sales and the Wii will have them in bunches including Big first party releases.

I'll go with choice number one as long as you switch the NES with the PS.

Anyway, at this point I doubt Wii sales will just die down.
