So I've been playing some of the games I missed on ps2 lately.  It's also the first time I've had it hooked up to my HDTV.  Blur mania.  But I want to remedy this, so I went to a videogame store.  I ask the guy and he's all 'oh who cares about that, it makes like no difference, you cant find those anywhere either anyway.'.

Now I have a wii hooked up which is arguably comparable to a ps2 graphicially (not what this is about dont go all crazy about that comment please), and its hooked up with the component HD wires.  To me it looks way better with those wires then it does with old school ones.  The guy assured me it wouldn't be like that differece either.

So my question is, are the wires worth it?  Do they improve the ps2's graphics?  can they still be purchased?

the ps3 component cables should work. I beleive there the same connector, if not get them online.

Only some games work in 480p (progressive scan must be selected in game menu) and i think there is little difference between 480i and 480p.

Ask someone who owns a WII with componnent cables to see if there was a big difference. As you should have the same result

I had the same problem before. I bought the PS2/3 component cables (they work for both consoles), and they made quite a difference. Games are no longer blurry; the colors look great, but it does make them little bit darker which can annoying at some points.

no it will/should look alot better 480p is actually noticibly better than 480i. But yes it will help get rid of the blur.

i wish that retard at the game store knew that, or id already have these cables :(
