Forums - Gaming - Big 3 Battle of Exclusives in 2009..Who won the Gold, Silver, Bronze

I also read that Heavy Rain would hit stores Q1 of next year in an official interview of some kind.. I think it's a very good move for that particular title.

Really though that Wii list is lacking these titles:

- Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
- Cursed Mountain
- Silent Hill: Deadly Silence
- A Boy and His Blob
- Tatsunoko vs Capcom: Ultimate All Stars
- Spyborgs
- TMNT: Smash Up!
- Muramasa: The Demon Blade
- Little King's Story
- Fragile
- Overlord: Dark Legend
- Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage
- Your Shape

Quite a few other RPG's are also missing..

Cute start, but you missed a couple 2009 Wii exclusives:

Deadly Creatures

Little King's Story

Boom Blox Bash Party

Excite Bots

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles

Ju-on: The Grudge

Grand Slam Tennis

EA Sports Active

Overlord: Dark Legend

Shiren: The Wanderer

Muramasa: The Demon Blade

A Boy and His Blob

Cursed Mountain

Rune Factory: Frontier

Need for Speed: Nitro

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-up

Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga

Wii Fit Plus

Fragile

Shaun White Snowboarding: World Stage

Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

Beat me to it :P I'd say Grand Slam Tennis is not an exclusive, it's coming to other consoles and NFS: Nitro.. I guess but it'l be on DS too

Wii will definately get gold for exclusives in 2010, Zelda or not.

Section 8 is multiplatform from what I have seen(Gametrailers has PS3 listed as well as a few other sites)

The GTA DLC packs need to go, they are not full games, they are expansions upon GTAIV. If you cannot play it standalone, it is not a full game.

Don't think Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 can really be counted as exclusive either. Even though it is packed with like double the game, it still is on 360

Heavy Rain is this year, needs to be in PS3's list. It's Sony's most important title of fall 09 as stated by Sony themselves.

Nice presentation of lists though

actually, the 2 GTA episodes are being released together on retail disc in the fall, so you don't need to own GTA 4 to play them.  I think its being called Tales from Liberty City or something of that nature.

I think alot of people are underestimating what it can do.  2 episodes with 15 hours of single player campaigns each (30 + hrs total) along with an expanded multiplayer modes, and they're gonna be selling for $40 (instead of the usual $60 per game).  I think it could probably outsell all of the ps3  exclusives this holiday.

that and Heavy Rain has been confirmed for 2010....

Even if that was the case, that would be "1" whole game, not two. We do not count the individual parts of the OrangeBox, neither should this be true for GTA.

And from what I have gathered they are still technically DLC. The disc is no different then the voucher code that gamestop sold for GTAIV LATD. You could pick it up at retail but you downloaded it once you got home. I think its a tad decietful as it still is not a real game. The disc will have you downloading the expansion from the disc just as Forza 2's second disc will be used. These exspansions don't include the GTA world/city/assets, just characters and scenes. This is why the disc is needed from GTAIV.

How long it is doesn't change the fact that it is an expansion.

Link for Heavy Rain please(if you know one). People keep saying this, but I have not seen the source.

Actually GTA: Episodes from Liberty City is a standalone game that doesnt require GTA 4 to play:

it just doesnt include the original games specific assets and missions.

so we can't list downloadable dlc to GTA4 that will be released as a stand alone game this year in xbox list but Eyepet that is a psn title is ok?
personally ps3 line-up is weak - it's the worst exclusive games line-up out of all main gaming platforms including handhelds. just few action games, bad jrpg, Diablo-clone and mmo game. i wouldn't call it good line-up of games. it looks exactly like wii line-up in 2006 - just a few good titles.

Katamari Forever is just a port from ps2 with improved graphics.

EyePet is a retail title, there wont be a PSN version of any kind

Yes Wii Will this year too, 2010 & 2011 the evidence is this question : who still think that the Wii is a fad ? the answer is GO CHECK THE OTHERS E3 2009 Conferences hahah..not an Iwata-sama smile but a Mouhahahahaha a BOWSER ONE HAHAHA.

http://www.gamingunion.net/news/heavy-rain-release-date-being-announced-at-e3--101.html

The release date for Heavy Rain has been shrouded in mystery for some time, as nothing concrete has ever been announced. Some speculation hinted at 2009, but some have suggested it might come in 2010.

Well, in an interview with GameTrailers.com, the CEO of Quantic Dream, David Cage, claimed that we would be hearing an announcement from Sony about this very subject at E3.

The release date for the game will be announced by Sony at E3. The game is currently at the alpha stage of development which means that all scenes can be produced and played. We're on track with the schedule and we're happy with what we've got.

He doesn't mention how far into alpha they are, but this could mean the game still has a fair amount of development still to go. It's likely that the release will be towards the tail end of 2009, or at the start of 2010.

I can further prove that Heavy Rain is still an 09 title with this...

Correct the Wii games list and a different picture will arise, i think. Even restricting it to so-called "quality" exclusives, you still have more of them.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

if that is true, then it is "1" game. Not two. The OP still needs to be corrected.
