Gold: Microsoft hands down. It used to be silver but e3 changed my mind.
there's way more interesting wii games aside from those mentioned. Little King Story, Rune Factory: Frontier, ExciteBots, Grand Slam Tennis, Overlord: Dark Legend, Cursed Mountain, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles just to name a few. so if you consider rest of wii exclusive games then Wii comes not only second but i would consider it even equal to 360 line-up.
while ps3 line-up is the most hyped one this year compared to 360s and wiis exclusive and semi exclusive games is worse.
360 and ps3 are the ones to look out for.

Hmm... I'd give a slight nod to the Wii over the 360 for this year. The list of Wii games there is woefully incomplete, plus there are a few WiiWare titles I'm looking forward to. The 360 is in a close second, though. If they didn't share so many games with Sony, they'd probably get the gold. Which of course, leaves Sony in a distant 3rd. None of the 2009 exclusives for that system even interest me.

I think you'll find that people said thats how the Bourne game wanted to be. Being put in the same bracket as anything to do with Bourne is no bad thing. And if I knew you, I'd put a money bet on with you that those PS3 games will not get meta 90 +. Unfortunately I'm all out of VGChartz bets. |
Well Bourne is not really stealth, it is more about action, and SC seems to be split in between them. Is it a stealth game, or is it an action one? In the last section of the on-stage demo, it seemed like conflict was unavoidable, but if it is a real stealth game, you should really be able to go through without killing anyone, but maybe that is just me, and I hate stealth personally....
Anyway, I would not take that bet because I don't believe that they will get above 90, but I really don't believe that all those Xbox games will get above 90, in fact, out of all of them, probably only Uncharted 2 will get above 90

ROFL! Are you serious? Do you know how many games score 96+? GTA IV, The Orange Box, Super Mario Galaxy, BioShock. Four games this gen. The first one got it on brand name alone, the second got it from outstanding value (and excellent quality of each component), and the last two got it by being absolutely phenomenal. They were the games that pretty much everybody loved. Classics, and leaders of their genre and console. And you think that Forza 3 has a chance of joining that elite class. 90+, certainly, but not 96. Anyway, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Crack in Time (Tools of Destruction was 89. Tools of Destruction. This game will be better in every way.) and MAG will all be 90+ games (perhaps not the last one, but it will be 85+ for sure). I still wouldn't say Conviction has a shot at GoTY. Yes, there was a good showing, but even at its peak, Splinter Cell was never that amazing. And it's got really tough competition- Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, Alan Wake, Forza 3, Street Fighter IV, Modern Warfare 2, Assassin's Creed 2, BioShock 2... Halo ODST will be 90+ even if it sucks (it won't suck), Conviction is a definite possibility, but might just miss the mark. |
Well if we're going by the infamous 90 AAA, 360 stands a higher chance with its titles.
360
For starters Forza 3 is doing nothing but impressing, with every other game in the franchise being 90+ then this stands the highest chance of clinching AAA.
Halo ODST, Its Halo FPS, by Bungie, need I say more? AAA Confirmed.
Left 4 Dead 2, now the first scored 89, the sequel promises (and by previews looks much MUCH better) to deliver more. I don't know if the backlash of releasing it so soon will be taken into account, it really shouldn't as thats nothing to do with how the game is itself but you know what these reviewers are like, expect the 360 version to get 88 - 93 and the PC version to get a considerably lower score
Splinter Cell Conviction, The game looks great and I think this can easily make AAA but there is no solid guarantee it will. So this is up in the air.
PS3
Uncharted 2, really don't know much about this game but liek Left 4 Dead if it gets enough tweaks and irons out the problems with the first then it should no doubt make AAA as the 1st got 88
Ratchet & Clank, the same COULD go for this but all previous R&C games havn't exactly set a AAA trend (and there have been a fair few of them) Its really hit and miss as to whether this can make AAA but the last scored 89 so who knows?
MAG, New IP don't know much about it so can't comment. You really have to wait for reviews to judge what this will do ...
Well, this is a better thread than what was going on before E3.
In my opinion:
PS3 lineup = gold
Wii lineup = silver
360 lineup = bronze
Xbox360 for me
Forza, Splinter Cell, Left 4 Dead 2 + Halo ODST (It is HALO!) is more than enough to satisfy me.
Sony did okay, but not great.
Killzone and Uncharted 2 are two good games.
Nintendo is not getting what I want at all.
But anyway: As I said before, this year is all about multiplat games. Most promising games this year are multiplat.
Anyway, this year gonna be expensive.
Imagine not having GamePass on your console...
Section 8 is multiplatform from what I have seen(Gametrailers has PS3 listed as well as a few other sites)
The GTA DLC packs need to go, they are not full games, they are expansions upon GTAIV. If you cannot play it standalone, it is not a full game.
Don't think Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 can really be counted as exclusive either. Even though it is packed with like double the game, it still is on 360
Heavy Rain is this year, needs to be in PS3's list. It's Sony's most important title of fall 09 as stated by Sony themselves.
Nice presentation of lists though
