Sony still has 7 1/2 years left in their PS3 life cycle to meet an adequate number of sales.

If you think its superior to the 360 in some ways, then why didnt you buy one?

It's funny how fanboys still think that the ps3rd still has a chance of winning the console race. As for it being discontinued, it will be when the ps4 comes out, and there is no way in hell the ps3 will last 10 years lol.

People were expecting that Sony would discontinue the PS3 in 2007, in 2008 etc. After all those years why would they dod it? Especially when they showed a lot of games to release the next years.

I didn't buy a PS3 for certain reasons

1. It's still really expensive compared to the other consoles.
2. Most of my friends have 360's and I love both consoles, so I went with the 360.
3. I don't get an allowance, so that should explain some of it right there.

PS3 is not that expensive.  The 360 will add up to around the same amout.  I know because I paid $350 for my 360 and $375 for my PS3.  Both new too.  My friends have 360 too but that didn't stop me from buying a PS3.  My 360 break on me though.  If you want a PS3 get a job.  And no the PS3 will not follow in the footsteps of Sega's Dreamcast.  PS3 have the games to move sales.  The Dreamcast didn't.
