Forums - Nintendo - Voice-acting on the new Zelda game...

It's OK so long as everyone except Link talks.

They will never ever find anyone qualified enough to voice Link. never ever, did I say never ever??? beacuse they will never ever find anyone good enough to voice Link.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

voices would ruin...

voices for random people..is possible

but not for Link or other main characters...wich on it's turn makes VA useless
so...no voice acting please

I think they should have voices for npc's, but Link should stay quiet. I also think they should use multiple choice text similar to KoToR or Elder Scrolls so that the player has more input as Link.

Smash Bros: 2363-5325-6342

it is an interesting argument. on one hand, the previous games have always had text and we all have ideas of how the characters are going to sound. but, if there is a chance they can do it right (see mario 64) then i am all for it!

I think voice acting is a must for the next Zelda. Text-only is ancient, and doesn't fit with a game with high production values.

Link should remain as silent as he ever was ofcourse.

Yeah as ancient as like...books, and wierd shit like that where you have to read to get information. Text is so f'ing outdated.

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

Well, I do think there should be va for everybody but Link, but I can live without it. If Nintendo did decide on it, I'm fairly confident that they can do a reasonable job.

Yeah, because books are totally the same as videogames.

Evolution is required for the new Zelda or people will get bored of the franchise real fast. I personally got bored with TP mostly because of the bad and linear story.
