Yeah, with all the bundling 600-700k sounds reasonable. Such an opening week should lead to ~1.5 million lifetime. Unless it has crazy legs like the PSP games, but I don't believe it will do much above 1.5 million (which would be by far the best sold console MH ever and a huge success as Capcom expects 2 million worldwide).

Yes. Dragon Quest Swords is second. Did you expect any other game? There have been no big Japanese 3rd party games on Wii yet. Monster Hunter 3 will be the first. Then Samurai Warriors 3 and Tales of Graces.

I really expected better support that,  I mean it's closer to 3 years now, and the Wii is finally getting a big game IN japan.

Yep MH3 should hopefully sell a million and be number one until FFXIII which will be number 1 for a very long time. Not counting handhelds in Japan is a kick in the teeth though, not much competition.

Yes it´s taking thirdparties a lot of time to wake up unfortunately for them also one can say. Treated right there is huge profit to be made on Wii. It´s starting to change though in Japan. After MH 3 there will be Samurai Warriors 3 and Tales of Graces among others.

As for MH3, 800k opening week minimum, 3 million lifetime. Anybody can quote me on this.

Did you miss the fact that Nintendo is releasing the black Wii on MH3 launchday, that there is a MH3 console bundle, a MH3 Classic Controller bundle and that MHG sold very well? Apart from that Capcom has an incredible marketing plan to hype the game.

This will be an insane release. 600k-700k first week is very well possible. I know you are hating on MH3 for a long time now, but I think you better stop thinking it will bomb. The bundles + black Wii alone guarantee a major launch week.

I think the game will sell a at best 500k week one and at best 1.5 million lifetime. So the console will get a new coat of paint and a bundle......so what? Of course it will increase sales but nowhere near something like 750k.

Now saying something like the game will do 3 million lifetime is nothing short of crazy. People expecting MH3 to have the legs of a PSP MH game........REALLY? Damn well this site does have some hilarious members.

I would not call saying MH3 will not do millions lifetime hating on the game, I would call that not being delusional. I do say the next PSP MH game willl outsell MH3 Wii with ease, I doubt anyone would want to bet against that.
