there are much better things out there. if i had the money to travel and see the world, i sure as hell wouldn't play games.
Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

Lol, I typed in "Gamer rage" in google. |
Lol... but you proved my point (kinda). The gamma radiation from the TV-screen is transforming gamers in hulk-like creatures, who will all get angry one day and destroy teh worldz!!1

poor kid... :(
i'd never trade my videogame love for all the genius brains in the world. to have never experienced mario?... now way! especially galaxy
I think we can all safely agree that this kid is a douche bag. Even if you have a very fulfilling life, you will always have free time here and there. Calling what you do in that free time a waste of time is like spitting on a person's life. Who are you to judge what he does with his free time? What makes you so good kid? I hope that one day...when he is just about to score with a girl...she sees his package and says "I'm not even going to bother...that thing is a waste of time" That would be OWNED to the max...and he would be labeled as FAIL.

Hit the nail on the head right there.
Only a fool would make such an idiotic statement anyway, obviously there is somebody making these games behind the scene, the programmers usually create their own game engines which are later on re-used for real life simulations, think of all the things that are tested in computer simulations these days, most of them are saving lives.
Talking about saving lives, think of the ps3, its a GAMES console and is helping cure cancer. Also, he's talking about not helping humanity in general, I'm guessing by that he means the entire human race, think of the people making these games who are earning money to pay for their family, their TAX (which is used to help humanity), and plainly put to survive. People playing video games can also spark off dreams and ideas (e.g. a kid might come across a game based on mars, maybe being an astronaught is his long-lost passion, or a futuristic game could create ideas for engineers etc).
He clearly hasn't thought at all before claiming video games don't help humanity. I'm sure if i did some research i could come up with more stuff also.
