Is the addtion of Lemans new? I haven't seen the Lemans cars or tracks in any recent announcements. Perhaps I'm not paying attention.

Also, this:

"The Turn 10 track crew walks the course...gathering valuable data for reference along the way.

In fact when asked for a few images of his reference trip to the Circuit De La Sarthe in France, Turn 10 track lead Matt Collins sent over a shared folder containing over 15,000 images ...nearly 60GB of source material! Looking through these images/videos I found reference on just about everything (and I mean everything). Track barriers, road materials, rumble strips, vegetation and trackside buildings are just a few of the things that we're documented during their visit to France. Combined with endless amounts of physical data collected via GPS, aerial photography and a team of car experts to ensure accuracy, we had everything needed to create a scale replica of the world famous Circuit De La Sarthe in Forza Motorsport 3. It's honestly way too much content (and hard work) to cover in the scope of this article, but the passion and pride we take in track modeling will shine through as you take your very first lap around the Circuit De La Sarthe in Forza 3 this October."

From the world of fanboys, I thought only PD was into gathering, you know, real data to base their cars and tracks on. It seems like Turn 10 has spent some time and money as well on gathering all sorts of data.

I hate trolls.

Systems I currently own:  360, PS3, Wii, DS Lite (2)
Systems I've owned: PS2, PS1, Dreamcast, Saturn, 3DO, Genesis, Gamecube, N64, SNES, NES, GBA, GB, C64, Amiga, Atari 2600 and 5200, Sega Game Gear, Vectrex, Intellivision, Pong.  Yes, Pong.

I love those Le Mans shots. However, all the other shots seem a little dark. It's like the sunny suddenly became less bright. They look great; don't get me wrong. The lighting just looks a little off in the non-Le Mans shots.

Off Topic: 24 Hours of Le Mans in 15 hours!!!

While the screenshots look great (from both games), the real-time gameplay screenshots/footage is what counts for me. So far the few seemingly gameplay pics from Forza3 have still looked pretty good. The few I have seen from GT5:P...not so much. But I haven't seen any from GT5 so who knows.

That first batch of Lemans cars look amazing though, wow. Loving the environments as well.

Wow! Looks great!

Eurogamer claimed that gt5 prologue's cars looks better... DEBATE

The environments look great. I especially like the 5th shot in the OP.

But am I missing something with the car models? They look good but not that good. The red Audi and the BMW M3 in the first and second shot in the OP have a lot of jaggy lines. Also the yellow car in the last pic doesn't look great at all.

There are better looking cars in other racing games (naming no names) in my opinion.

It's just from the way the pictures are scaled down.  If you check the properties of the picture and grab the link for them then view them at their proper size they are much smoother.

But will you be able to see the 60 FPS to begin with, let alone would it change your gaming experience from 30FPS?

Screen shots look good, GT:portable is definitely not comparable to this game (I know it drags GT into a Forza thread, but I still think that thread was ridiculous).

Environment is looking ridiculously good though. Very impressed.
