Forums - Gaming - Media and Press who won E3

This is just my opinion, I do not want to fight with any of you. I would have you know though that most of the other blogs / game journalists agree with this view.

In terms of presentation and new stuff, 360 > Wii > PS3.
360 - MGS Rising, Halo Reach, Crackdown 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Forza 3, Shadow Complex, Natal
Wii - New Super Mario Bros Wii, Galaxy 2, Metroid Other M, Vitality Sensor
PS3 - MGS Rising, FF14 Online (and the exclusitivity is already wavering direct from SE's mouth), Agent, ModNation Racers, PSMote, The Last Guardian

In terms of substance and content 360 = PS3 > Wii (must have some kind of playable demo or hands-on @ E3)
360 = Halo ODST, Splinter Cell, Forza 3, Mass Effect 2, Alan Wake, Shadow Complex
PS3 = God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain, MAG, Ratchet & Clank, ModNation Racers, White Knight Chronicles
Wii = New Super Mario Bros Wii, Wii Sports Resort

Who is going to want to buy the camera then another extra... just because nintendo got away with this doesnt mean MS can. Nintendo for one started it from the begining. MS will have at least 40 million 360s sold by the time NATAL comes out.

if it has great unqiue games, or good games in general with it. People will buy it. The fact that I dont have to use a controller to move around the interface is a sell to me. The fact I can chat with my friends from far away face to face and I can to go shopping with my little cousin and she knows wtf shes getting thanks to the camera sells to me. I fact i can use my voice to a intreaction with system ( not just for chat purposes) is a sell to me. The fact that can use anything i have and the AI will react to it is a sell to me.

If these things can't be sold to the public with good games intergated to the camera....then it's not any better than the eye toy.

No one is going to make games without the hardware penetration. It would be self castration.

sony still wowed me more than any other conference just more to my tastes

I would give to sony if it wasn't only for one thing: They announced, showed and talked about games that aren't coming out this year or give a release date to certain games. This is E3 07' all over again. The thing that impressed me the most was Mod Racers. Even though Ms's Joy Ride beat it to announcing( and it's free) Mod Racers sounds like a unique and fun racing game. If Sony had a better holiday lineup ( Uncharted 2 Rachet and Clank and Demon Souls sound good but if God of War 3 or GT5 were added...they would of won) I would of gave Sony the edge. And I hope they come up with a better motion control than the crap they came out with.

So what is MS announcing Halo Reach?

But isn't that what devs are doing right now? Cuz if recall MS say they have devs working with Natal as we speak....

I think they said they just sent out the dev kits, so any good game won't be on the market for another 2 years. By then 360 will be at what 50 million? You think that game will sell well?

Why do I get irritated whenever eliasg posts..

Anyhow yea for me it was microsoft

The reason I think MS won, personally, is because they didn't have a handheld to focus on. If Sony would have focused their whole show on the PS3, they would have won.

A couple of things that really pushed MS over the edge was not the big surprises of Crackdown 2, or L4D 2.

Instead if was three games we already knew about, and how good they looked.

Splinter Cell

Forza 3

Alan Wake

Everybody thought these games were gonna be "pretty good."

They blew us away though, and were far better looking than expected(with the exception of Alan Wake).

Even if you have less to show, if you show people more than they expect, you will do well.

MS basically went into the show with a crap upcoming library for 09, and came out with arguably the best 09 exclusive library, and a 2010 list of upcoming games that has blown everyone away.

All 3 conferences were magnificant. MS just did something really special this year. They pulled a phoenix. Rose from the ashes. That is why I give them the nod.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Yea cuz they're not stupid enough to release a game just for the camera. Pls don't tell me u think that. Of course they're gonna be naysayers from day one but if done right ( if done right) people will eventually cross over.  And anyway...wasn't one of the demos Burnout? I'm pretty sure Natal wasn't just sent to Criterion....
