 and put in wii bioshock.

Hmm, i played bioshock and don't really see why it couldn't be on the Wii. Some lighting differences, but, RE4 doesn't look all that much worse than Bioshock and it was created on the GC. Anywho, doesn't really matter as the rumors state that it would hit in 2009. Which is so far away it will surely not do well.

PS, same rumors state it would hit all consoles in 2009. Maybe that is just when MS's exclusivity ends.

Bioshock on DS :s?

Oh are you talking about Mike Hickey?

That guy said it is possible that the developpers of Bioshock will bring the game on Wii and PS3.

Yeah, it seems like all of the articles are referring to this analyst. Either way, I thought it was interesting.

I'm gonna say this is rather unlikely.

Analyst: Take-Two Turnaround Well Underway; BioShock to PS3, Wii?

Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey believes Take-Two is on the right path, and while BioShock is exclusive to Xbox 360 right now, he thinks the blockbuster shooter could be headed to other platforms in the near future. He also expects Mafia 2 to become a platinum seller.

While a number of analysts recently expressed skepticism over Take-Two (UBS analyst Ben Schachter called it a "show me stock"), Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey seems far more bullish on the GTA publisher.

In a new company update research note, Hickey said that "management's turnaround plan is well underway and [we] consider the Company's shares a relative value to both the general market and their competitors in the space. We expect potential upside in their fiscal Q407 reported performance versus management guidance from the stronger than expected sales of BioShock and the release of Manhunt 2, which was originally a Q3 release."

Speaking of the much lauded BioShock, Hickey said that he thinks Take-Two could bring the game to PS3, PS2, Wii and handhelds some time during the company's 2009 fiscal year. In addition, he noted that the next game from 2K Boston/Australia could be released during FY09 as well. Another big contributor, according to Hickey, will be Mafia 2, which "likely will go platinum."

As part of the publisher's turnaround, Hickey believes Take-Two is also going to start raising additional capital in advance of the launch of Grand Theft Auto IV next year. "Additional capital could be used to insure liquidity for working capital needs, fuel potential studio acquisitions, and fund future development projects," he said.

Hickey continued, "Strong recent product releases like BioShock and the upcoming seasonally strong retail holiday sales period has seemingly eased some of the market's liquidity concerns for the Company. That said, we expect management could choose to raise capital now, leveraging a higher share price, investor enthusiasm over the GTA IV release, the franchise potential of BioShock and their strong fiscal '08 guidance. We think management will favor raising capital through a convertible offering, which we expect could be roughly $100 to $150 million."

Janco has issued a $27 target for Take-Two stock (TTWO) and a 'Buy' rating.

==> don'tworry
I'm here to bring you the original news :

bioshock coming to PS3/PS2/Wii/Xbox360 + handelds in 2009.

My personnal view about this : BullShit....

Time to Work !

DS? Yeah...I can't see how that would work...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

I think its highlely unlikely as well, the Wii just doesn't have the processing/GPU power to make the game look like the developers want it to look.

Don't get me wrong, the Wii has decent looking games, and it'll improve with time (as developers master it), but if they're were plans to port Bioshock, I think it would have happened already.

The market on the PS2 & Wii Combined for a Title like Bioshock, might be half as large as the 360's

A Wii port would be scaled down, true, but it could be done with enough creative tech. PS2, though... I really don't know.

Either way, I sincerely doubt that the market for such a title on the 360 is larger than that on the PS2 (which has nearly ten times the 360's install base) and the Wii (which has gathered a larget install base than the 360 in one year's less time, and will likely be at least twice that come 2009.)

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

A direct port to the Wii ??? Not going to happen, or will look pretty bad IMO, the Wii is great but it just doesn´t heve the power for the U3 engine, it just wouldn´t look good, better to build a game from scratch anyway.
