As the title says... no standard controls for fifa 08 on wii... now I am in a dilemma, shall I buy the PS2 version(which I can't play online, which has worse gfx and I'll have to play it on my small T.V upstairs, which is a real downer) or should I still buy the Wii version... I'm  just afraid the controls will come out all wrong and also I'm unsure whether there is a MANAGER MODE in the Wii version.... Can someone help me out here...

Euhm I wouldn't buy it all but if I would buy it it would be for PS2.

Howzabout you wait for some reviews of the Wii version? Or if you're really worried, rent the Wii version and buy the PS2 version if you don't like it.

And I like PES but I love Fifa's Management Mode. Plus Fifa and Pro Evo are remarkably close in terms of gameplay now...but Fifa has the license and better game modes...so I'm a Fifa man, I liked 07 a lot when I had it on GC

I couldn't care less of football games, but this is rather unfortunate. Games supporting lots of different control options was a trend I liked very much, but it isn't continuing as strongly as I hoped.

find a friend who bought fifa 08 on the wii, or you could just ask the store for a demo.
Most reviews would cover the controls anyway.

I honestly doubt the controls will be that radically different anyway.

You still have an analog stick and more than enough buttons...it'll probably have minimal motion control.
