I bet it's not the same popular opinion as there is in Japan. I guarantee with The Last Guardian, Final Fantasy XIV, Metroid:  The Other M, Mario Galaxy 2, New Super Mario Bros.  Wii, GT PSP and 5, and the true sequel to MGS 4 on PSP in Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker on the way, that Famitsu isn't making the ludicrous claim that Microsoft won.

Even though 90% of other places are lol, they ALL must be wrong then lol,

I've seen over 20 articles now and 19 of those said MS won, the other said it was a MS/Nintendo tie, you do the maths.....

I find it amazing how Nintendo is being judge.

When Nintendo announced wiimote, they were criticized. When they announce wii fit they were sent to the guillotine. When they showed WM+ everyone complaint.

This year, MS and Sony just admitted that Nintendo was the one who gave the right step coming into this generation... and they are praised. It doesn't matter if Sony and Microsoft didn't even show a lot of games, ot big exclusives (except psp) and Nintendo did.... everyone keeps hating on Nintendo.

Is just the way it is... Nintendo will never win in the eyes of the press. Still, they don't need to. They showed who was right and who was wrong. They are kicking ass... more than enough i guess

So why is everyone being so judgmental about the conclusions from the press THAT WAS ACTUALLY AT THE EVENT and some had the actual opportunity TO TRY THIS STUFF HANDS ON?

Look long and hard into the mirror and you will find the answer, whether you want to accept it or not . . .

Amen,..M$ win..

Sorry we're questioning the almighty and divine wisdom of the sainted. Their divinity will be acknowledged. But not right now

Anyhoo, what is the deal? If you look at it from a pure prospective of content, i think that a clear Sony > Nintendo = Microsoft lineup appears. And that's coming from someone who has never owned anything other than Nintendo consoles

Unless they're judging it in terms of presentation, but that's just stupid. The content that comes out is what should matter.

It depends on point of view. Sony showed the most, but it wasn't all 2009 releases. Sony, as usual showed the most/coolest games but you won't be seeing them this year. And content is rated based on how soon you'll have it.

Also, from the view of many (including myself) the potential of Natal was the most thrilling prospect presented at E3.

@ seraphic.

Most people after sonys show was done had microsoft and sony tied.

Now the dust has settled most sony fans have done a U-turn and are claiming sony won.

Maybe it was the initial shock at just how good microsofts show was.

Theres no doubt in microsoft fans minds who won.

I wonder why they'd think that ::rolleye::

I'll even hand it to you, I think MS had a great conference, simply because the potential for the use of Natal is phenominal if done right.

The media's disregard for Nintendo however is becoming a real concern, unbias journalism is something we should expect and disregarding MS + Sony's catchup game with regards to motion-tech, Nintendo had the biggest list of exclusive to both show and reveal.

Even though I personally despise the Wii, I believe that the current modis is extremely unfair.

Nobody said that.  They were there and actually played stuff while we sat and watched from afar.  I just think its pretty small to dismiss the conclusions they came to just because those conclusions don't gel with what we feel.

As for judging content, that's really subjective.  MS spent 2 hours on one console and it was still barely enough time.  Nintendo and Sony split their's between 2 consoles (with a tiny bit of PS2 thrown in) in a similar amount of time.  Games were announced and shown (most with a 2010 date . . . ) by all 3, new technology was shown and demonstrated, etc.  So whichever showed games you were interested in would likely lean you toward that particular show's content.

Presentation matters too, as it is a press conference not a board meeting.

But, in the end, if we're talking Best of E3 as a whole, the conclusions of those that were actually there dwarf anything we have to say.  Like Vietnam, we don't know, man.  WE WEREN'T THERE, MAN.
