Forums - Gaming - Gamepro magazine awards Microsoft the best of the big three at E3

I think Microsoft and Sony tied, but Sony fucked up by putting too much into the PSP and not the PS3. Other than that it was a good show. Most of what they showed was expected though. If Microsoft won, to me they might have edged it out. It wasn't a total domination like last year.

Sony: B+ (Gamepro E3 grades)

Nintendo: C+

Microsoft: A-

They we're equal as far as im Concerned.

Even more so since EyePet matchs Natal imo.

Most sony fans straight after sonys show said it was a tie between microsoft and sony.

If most sony fans are saying its a tie then microsoft clearly won. (afterall, most would never admit defeat to microsoft in any way, shape or form).

Microsofts 2009 line up just got a hell of a lot stronger.

That doesn't really make much sense to me, but if that were the case i'd be one of them to admit it, but they were pretty damn equal this year, there was no monopoly over E3 at all by anyone...

Except maybe PSP's line up for this year but it was ruined by PSP Go's Stupid price-tag. :(

Why is it so difficult for PS3 backers to just give Microsoft the win on this E3? It's not the end of the world for them.

All 3 companies are doing FINE (yes, even Sony is doing fine haters) this generation. If I had to make my predictions on the sales of the rest of 2009 based on this E3, it looks like it's going to go to Microsoft (that is, unless PS 3 decides to surprise us with a 100$ price drop).

And, why is everyone downplaying the facebook/twitter integration and enhanced netflix usability? You guys, I know this is a game site and ALL we talk about is games but those additions will be HUGE, mark my words....

@ seraphic.

Most people after sonys show was done had microsoft and sony tied.

Now the dust has settled most sony fans have done a U-turn and are claiming sony won.

Maybe it was the initial shock at just how good microsofts show was.

Theres no doubt in microsoft fans minds who won.

Hmmm I dunno maybe because you can't force ppl to have the same opinion as you?.....Trust me even if one of these game companys had a really shitty show there will still be ppl who tought that company won it plus I think that all 3 companies this E3 had a gr8 run.

@Ron- I've noticed that to man dont get me wrong, Megaman as a good example.

Although dont throw me in the lot of them, i still stand by it was all equal and fair. :P

Ronster can never accept SONY won/did good in anything, so seraphic don't bother discussing such things with him (judging by his HEAVILY mis-informed signature)

_____________

@all

SONY & nintendo tied for me........they are being WAY too harsh on nintendo.....WAY to harsh!

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

I can acknowledge sonys E3 darth.

But with sonys 2009 line up now weaker due to quite a few games been put back to 2010 there was only one winner in my mind.

And about my sig......... what part of it is mis-informed?

@ seraphic, i know you said it was a tie from the beginning, sorry if it looked like i was putting you in to the group of "U-turners"
