Forums - Sony - To existing PSP owners: Fear Not!

Yes, but again, the GO would be nice to have since it is more portable and you don't have to carry games around with you. Which, again, is why it would be fantastic to have this service so I wouldn't have to buy all of my games again.

I don't even know if you're asking questions about this, but maybe my posts will help clear things up with someone. XD

I'd like to think that Sony is smart enough not to restrict the downloads to Go only (that would be really dumb) basically meaning you'd be able to download and play future games on the 3k.
Instead of lugging around UMDs of future releases, with regards to past ones...Folks have managed to survive deciding which game to take with them on their journeys before so they should be fine now (I mean how far are you travelling that you need to carry umpteen games to play?)

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

If you already own psp games...doesn't that technically stand to reason you should also own a psp? If that's the case, why is everyone getting their panties in a twist?

I figured Go was for folks who did not have psps?

This is good question considering normal PSP can download games just as well as go.

Meh.. Still can't make myself to like it. Only PS brand that looks awful to my eyes.

This is my only concern, so I will only place my pre-order once they have announced details of this. My main hope is some way of allowing me to continue buying UMDs, and then copying the games to my Go through my PSP 2000

No, you can download stuff to the other models, provided you have enough room on your memory stick. The case I was talking about is for the people who want to buy the GO because it is a smaller, more portable model than the 2k or 3k. That's why someone would upgrade, and why it would be nice to be able to transfer old games onto the new system.

I actually plan on using my PSP3k like a PSPGO. Just get a large SONY memory card and viola. Hell, I already plan on putting FFVII that I downloaded last night on my PSP. Ill probably wait to get PSPGO after a refresh (PSPGO 32GB sounds good to me).

Bump. The more that are informed, the better.

so people will be able to buy a used UMD cheap, use whatever it is that lets them put it on the GO, then sell it back?

sounds like a loophole for those who aren't current psp owners.

I have a psp, but I'm interested in it mainly because it will fit in my pocket + potential increase in battery life (I list potential because we don't know how long the battery lasts). It is however unlikely that I would purchase the go without a umd --> download exchange and before it hits $200.

(the fitting in pocket includes not having to carry around multiple crushable discs)
