the only megaton at sony's conference was FFXIV

then again there was only 1 megaton at the whole of E3 last year. at leats this E3 we got 3 :)

I don't particularly think it was a megaton, not yet anyways, but pedagree usually speaks for something, especially when its as big as R*North.

For example I generally like everything Naughty Dog, so if they announce they're making a new IP I will be a happy camper.

I don't see how it was any worse than Halo: Reach and MGS: Rising at MS' conference. We get an announcement accompied by a 30 second teaser that raises more questions than it answers as opposed to just an announcement.

Exactly, that is why I don't understand the hype around it.

I'm an Halo fan so I hype ODST... but I'm not excited about Reach because.. well... so far I haven't seen anyting about it ...

I'm more interested in Reach than ODST.

With Reach at least you have a point of reference. It's a Halo prequel so you can just assume for the moment that it's going to be Halo 4 which will probably be like Halo 3 with some improvements which was like Halo 2 with some improvements which was like Halo.

What can you tell from the Agent?

We know it's from R* so it will probably try to make some sort of controversy but that's about it. About the only thing we can really probably assume is it's open world but, again, why get excited about that?

And just a note-- I think if they had come on the stage and just said GTAV -- PS3 exclusive and then said nothing else, you might have cause to be excited because with the same thing as Halo: Reach, you have something to go on.  Instead we have a new IP and know nothing else about it.
