I think I hate all these video camera motion captures. I watched the NATAL demo and thought it was really neat/cool what have you but I can't imagine using it for gaming. For one thing - I don't want to stand up and game. I didn't like the PS demo because it was't used to show a game. Haven't motion capture body-suits been around for a while to create video games and cgi stuff? I can see next E3 we will have spandex motion capture suits for all.
I guess the current projects are making me wonder if I really want to game and be active (physically) while I game. I don't think I could game for 5-6 hours prancing in my living room.
Basically, I'm wondering where you think all of these motion controls are leading? Is it a dead end or are controllers the dead end?
What do you prefer and what do you think the future holds?
P.S. Is anyone here really that excited to play video games while standing in the middle of their living room? Or are you more excited at the possibilities that are brought forth by NATAL?
