err, i have a ps3 so i can confirm having a web browser on your game console is no big deal. frankly the controller is just not the best way to surf the net.

now having a web browser on an iphone, psp, ds, zune HD. that is worth it while imo.

i just don't get why MS advertises facebook compatibility like it's a big deal. anyone who cares about facebook obviously already has access to facebook and probably have access in a much more user friendly environment.

Well, my friend raised the point that he'd never in a million fucking years make a facebook page for himself, but he's all about giving his Xbox Live avatar one.

Frankly, I agree.

there's no limitations to making a facebook account.  take a picture of your avatar and do it.

1. Viruses--Everyone knows that if MS had a web browser it would be an IE version, and IE is very virus prone. Think about trying to play games with a virus ridden 360...it just wouldn't work.

Think about trying to play games with a regular 360.

am i rite?

this guy is hilarious

That's lame, though. 360 FTW!

Virus ridden 360? you guys do know that the X360 does not use Windows, right? are you telling me we'll see viruses written specifically for the X360?

Ah, seece, it's not pointless at all. Watching E3 on the PS3 was many times better than doing the same on the PC.

the cost of live doesnt give ms enough cash to make a browser

@seece, i agree on all systems, but wii, wii is just fun with the wiimote browser combo on websites that dont need typing tbh.

Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6).  This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.

But this is Facebook straight to your TV! You get to browse and view pictures and all that jazz without all the annoying ads! And you can take in game screen caps and post directly to Facebook in some upcoming games!

I agree, a browser is not needed, but if all you want is to check facebook in between a quick gaming session, this is very convenient. Also, it makes sharing stuff like photos and videos from facebook with the whole family a lot easier.

I dunno. I think it's even more useless than a web browser on a console.

For most people, their PC is no more than a 10 second walk from their console. I'm sure we'd all agree that it's much easier to use Facebook on a computer than it is anywhere else.

Being able to order pizza from my 360 would be convienient too... but the phone is just a few steps away.

Well, as far as PS3 goes its automatic an-ti virus.

you've got to go to some pretty "iffy" websites to fuck it up lol.

But since its the 360... would you really want IE as your only option? it's so shat i even prefer PSP's shat brower over IE. -.-

Maybe simply because the market research has shown they just dont need one.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
