the tech is fine, the design is just not as good, wiimote has a lot of functions and that's not something sony can beat so far.

so it was you who let my cout out of the bag? :p
Wiimotion plus has more options...but all the HD fanboys are orgasming over these inferior wands..how sad
50 bucks per Wiimote right?
even IF it were 50 bucks per wand..that's 100
knwoing sony crammed in useless tech...seeing that ball of light
it migth cost 60-80 per wand..
sorry..I see them failing HARD
or losing MORE MONEY if they TRY to sell a bundle of two wands at 60 or something LOL

The wands are definitely going to be cheaper than $50. The Wiimote has an infrared camera in each Wiimote, along with accelerameters. And the WiiMotion+ adds some gyroscopes. On the other hand, the wands are just accelerameters and gyroscopes, as well as whatever the ball is. I'm guessing the ball is nothing, just a bright colored ball for the PS Eye to track.
So you tell me, is it cheaper to have the camera on each controller, or to just have 1 camera to manage all the controllers?
what you are paying for a Wiimote is a lot, so it makes sense, IR camera, a speaker, the internals, a port for other accessories, a sleeve, protection rubber, and it's bluetooth.

in the case of it being a Wiimote..then no cam would be best
the wands..you need two..so it will probably still cost more to geta set of wands..
wich STILL proves my point -.- stop running around in circles..I know you're upset..it's okay

I just told you that the Wiimote has an infrared camera in it. The "sensor" bar is just 2 infrared LEDs that the Wiimote takes a picture of, and based on the position of the infrared LEDs, it tries to extrapolate it's position relative to the sensor bar. For the Sony system, the camera takes a picture of the wand and figures out where the wands are in relation to it, based on that (maybe the size of the ball?). So for 4 players, the Wii system utilizes 4 cameras. For the Sony system, for 4 players, you have ONE camera.
End of the day, the WII m+ is going to come out looking the best because the Wii is built upon the idea of motion technology. The Sony wands may look cool but the system doesn't focus on that sort of technology.
1:1 is 1:1 people for some reason don't get that.
However only one of them will still work using just candle light. haha

Actually it's 6. 3 on each side. Not trying to alter your point any, just tossing a piece of trivia out there for those intersted.
