Ubisoft is working on their own camera with Nintendo. If you take a look at the My Shape game, the motion camera comes with the game. It would be potentially bad if MS let Ubisoft into the tech, as they could use it to enhance the UbiCam for the Wii. This would be counterproductive for the Natal system, as the UbiCam is set to launch this year. If the casuals get something very similar to Natal earlier, it effectively shuts down that market entirely for MS. |
I've seen you provide this info before, but it seems no ones listening (or reading). This is so important because, if it does take off then M$ is screwed, and if it doesn't take off M$ is screwed because it will show the market for Natal, is null. Also Sony would be screwed if the Cam picks up on WM+. But tbh, I don't think either of the tech will be supported, at least not this gen.
Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:
If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.
If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

Is that your problem?
If you lack something to hold, grab a fucking dildo then !
Natal will work even if you use a plastic wheel to use in Forza.
So shut up and but some dildos so u can use it.
Predictions for 2009:
360: 39-42 PS3: 31-34 Wii: 67-70
Future projection
Wii will hit 100 million before christmas 2010 (made december 2008)
NDS Family will have sold and shipped more then PS2 at the end of 2009 (made january 2009)

No guy, I work inside the industry, I know the market pretty well. Been there, done that. You seem to hate the fact that I have something contrary to your ideals, but I'm not doing it to spite you or 360 fans, I'm giving you a reality check. You'd be smart to take my posts into consideration. I help bring the balance away from the site being extremist. I hold no allegiance to a console/publisher/whomever, if anything, I'm pro-PC.

at an affordable price with tons of games available.
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
it sounds impossible, but it will not survive the long run with Ubi and N ready to protect their market.

Unfortunately, while our shared logic is sound, these are extremist times. They don't want to acknowledge this data, because it takes their ammunition away for arguing on the forums. It's really not much different than when this console generation launched. People were screaming how great the 360 and PS3 were, and the Wii blew past them both. Now you got the same thing, regarding who has the superior motion controls, and it will continue to repeat the same pattern again.
What MS should have focused on instead of competing with Wii motion controls, is enhancing their online experience. MS has a superior console network experience. If they started opening up to more MMO based games, they can have a potential fanbase the size of WoW. They wouldn't have to make another game again, just maintain servers and update content.
Sony would have been better pursuing their breakaway controller for motion controls rather than try to implement a Wiimote clone with a camera. It would have suited more games better, and allow their userbase to enjoy Wii-like controls without jumping off the deep end.
The more it's branded as a killer of anything, the less likely it is to succeed.

poor Wii, and it has been doing so great until now
LoL, it seems like Sony will be last
even if Wii stops selling this moment it still was a success!!
and the games coming out for Wii in 2009-2010 are enough to keep me playing for this generation, i mean, i don't know what to buy now, not to mention that there are a lot of games i haven't played yet
Wii is already a success
*i don't really believe Wii will die after what Nintendo has shown at E3, and Nintendo is always Nintendo....
don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^
