To be honest, I thought it would be released some time near Christmas. Now that E3 has came and gone, I don't see that happening at all. The team responsible apparently will be working on the PSP version and that would indeed push the PS3 one back.

Not to mention how little footage that was shown for it during E3. Very little to no in game footage isn't a good sign if you ask me. I would bet it will be delayed till may or June next year.

If it does come out this year, more power to them just don't hold your breath.

THis make sense. The gave a general release date for just about every game at the conference, whether Fall, March 2010, etc., but they did not do so for GT5. The release date is still in limbo it seems.

Hopefully we'll find out more at TGS.

Kazunori Yamauchi: I want to release it as fast as I can, but GT5 for us, when you talk about its status, it's at a point we can release it any time we want, but we can always keep working on it. It's very important for us to make sure everything is done perfectly and everything is done in detail.

No idea what the man is waiting for but whatever, think it is releasing in holiday 2009. If the slim rumours are true or simply a price cut it would greatly help GT5 sales.

^Especially if GT5 is bundled with the new slim. I think PS3 sales would explode then.

They can release it at anytime? What? There's another 7 months of 2009. Give the game another 4 months polish, and then release the game in November.

They have to release it this holiday now. If its ready, there is no way Sony should make us wait till next year.

I've never been into GT5 in the past, they simply seem too large and intimidating for me to committ a bunch of time to it in a genre that I'm not very good at, but I may look at picking this up. My Xmas-time game was GOING to be Heavy Rain, but now I'll have to do with GT5 and/or MW2.

Ahh by holiday they mean Christmas :) I was wondering how the hell they can release it in July or August :D
But if true sales of PS3 would skyrocket.
