Forums - Nintendo - And so the audience ruined Nintendo's conference for me

It kinda reminded me of the MS conference. Like almost nobody was clapping just this one guy on stage and he way yelling "Whoo" all the time. It was so funny!!!

Why would anyone be excited when they show 2 good games and nothing else?
Don't get me even started about the new "sensor" things becouse that's laughtable.

What is it with childish comments like the above?

They announce four new major games for Wii all of which have the potential to be great fun and they expand on what we know of Resort. They look like a varied bunch of games that are enjoyable to play unless you are some form of regressed child-human that thinks they are mature but makes pathetically negative comments based on prejudice and narrow-mindedness.

They also announce some new DS games like Golden Sun and a host of other interesting shots of games we know very little about.

Personally I was very excited, but not so by the MS and Sony ones, but that is because I haven't got those machines and so wouldn't care. It doesn't mean I am going to say they only had 1 or 2 good games or slag them off or call them worse than the Nintendo announcements.

The sensor has applications for some people that are using the Wii for the exercises and could be used in games (but I doubt it myself). It's obviously not designed with the 'gamer' market itself in mind, but for the new fitness audience in the market some of which do happen to be gamers as well.

Therefore it is only 'laughable' from a narrow and subjective perspective which is intellectually deficient and unable to look past it's own world view.

Ahh yes typical retoric when someone refuses to see Nintendo greatness he is "intellectually deficient" and "childish".

Perhaps you should try looking at this without your rose glasses with big M letters on them to see why Nintendo conference was bad.

In order to see it as bad it would actually have to be bad

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

I believe it was the coverage this year was done a little more professionally if you watched live feeds from gamespot or IGN you didn't hear much from the crowd except for something here or there like the trailers would end up being direct feeds instead of off screen captures.

I watched a you tube video of Metroid Other M and heard the crowd go crazy as soon as they realized it was Metroid.

right, and anyone who doesnt think the nintendo conference was bad is automatically a cosplaying fanboy! maybe you should try backing up your claims with facts as the guy you replied to just did (or tried to. werent great arguments)

oh, and while youre at it, look up the meaning of rhetoric, or at least try to spell it right next time. haha, "intellectually deficient"

ive already explained this why are people not paying attnetion?

nintendo's conference was investors, executives and hte really big media only! ask the vgchart team. i bet they wer ein the Nokia theatre watching it on a screen not Club Nokia where the presentation was held

give up yet? people never read the whole thread these days, only the more composed people do =P.

Microsoft pay money for people to clap.

Not too sure about this year as I haven't watched the video, but the first itme they showed the 360 a few years back it was so staged clapping haha.

Not to mention people hate Nintendo and also expect BIGGER things from them too.
