Not if GT5 doesn't make it out this year in the western world. Its obvious that nothing can be done for Japan, but the west is a different story entirely. Hell if GT5 is a late 2010 release then Forza 3 will have enough time to add another couple of hundred cars and whatever other features they want to add.
Tease.
@ squilliam, firstly, there is a decent chance that GT 5 will make it this year, it is apparently what they are aiming for. Secondly, it takes time to make cars, especially with the amount of detail these games have, so they could not just chuck loads in. Thirdly, Europe is Gran Turismo land
I believe Gran Turismo is ALONE on that.
But I would like to check for Dirt 2, Forza, etc...
Viva GT5.... RULEZ ON.

@Munkeh: If GT5 was coming out this year, why didn't they explicitly state it? They gave release dates/windows for other games releasing in 2009 but no GT5 and they gave dates for games releasing in 2010 (God of War 3). Until I see otherwise, I don't have any other option but to assume GT5 will not make it out this year. If its coming next year then they will have time to add quite a stable of cars as DLC as they did with Forza 2.
I know that Europe is GT5 land, its no real secret to me.
Tease.
I think they didnt release a date for GT5 because they were rushing to end the conference..

@ Leo, all they would have needed was 2 seconds for the line and 2 minutes for the stunned silence. There were plenty of things to cut to make room for it.
Tease.

This was definitely a CGI part. In fact, it looked like the entire thing was mostly CGI with maybe a tiny bit of game-engine stuff. The game engine stuff looked no where near as good as the CGI, though.
Personally, from what I saw of Forza 3 it looks better as of this moment.
I'll make my final judgement when I can see both games in person in 1080p.

From the business perspective, GT5 release date would over shadow the PSP GO and the GT PSP.
Since they are pushing the PSP hard this year, I think they want people to focus on the PSP.

Right, because GT5 on PS3 is a direct competitor to the PSP Go. The only thing that is going to stand against the PSP Go is internet connections and price ($249).
