Did anyone notice that Jack Tretton announced Lost Planet 2 for PS3 in like one sentence in the middle of the Sony Press Conference?
Anyone who was holding out, you're officially allowed to like this game now. :)

Yesterday as in June 1st? It was confirmed? I heard the rumor, and saw it shot down many times. Did someone actually announce it before the press conference?
From what I've seen round the net, PS fans want Mass Effect 2, not this
but still something better than nothing

Thanks k1, that solidifies it. It also backs up my theory that it was first announced at the Sony press conference on June 2nd -- which is kind of hilarious, because it was really like one sentence in which Tretton said something like "and by the way, Lost Planet 2 will be coming to PS3 as well."
What they should have done was had Capcom hype the game up first as 360/PC, and then had the lead developer come on and announce the game was -- OMG bombshell! -- multplat. They've still got some basic stuff to learn from Microsoft about how to play the game.
Ooh, and then they should have said "with the 4 player monster-exterminating gameplay and unique sci-fi universe of Lost Planet 2, the Playstation library is truly complete."
Now what we need is cross-platform play, so the Sony fans, the Xbox fans, and the PC fans can battle it out in an actual game!
I have a dream...
So much for 360 console exclusivity. Capcom are pulling through with their multiplat promises prety well, but could do better with more PSN demos as opposed to XBL.
