What do you expect the lifetime sales of new super mario bros wii to be?

I would estimate a total lifetime sales to be at 18-21million, with some long legs. I say this because the wii has a very large user base which holds a high level of potential customers and it is roughly the same size and same market as the DS when the new super mario brothers was released, which went on to sell nearly 19 million.

22 million feels right. The way you speak of New Super Mario Bros. (DS) sales makes it sound like the game is not selling any more.

22,000,000 at the least.(DS)

The release of the Wii NSMB Wii should spur sales back up to 60,000-80,000 a week WW for NSMB DS, and it could, in a best-case scenario, take more than a year for sales to float back down to the respectable 47,000ish a week WW.(oops, didnt see Wii in the title)

I'll predict 10,000,000 LT at the moment. NSMB DS was released a year into the DS's life cycle, and became a staple for people who buy it. However, i think it's a bit late for NSMB Wii to reach "staple" status.

I think you're underestimating MW2's selling power. Even if it is on two consoles.

I'd say 10 million would be quite an achievement.

I don't see this title getting over 10,000,000 units sold. Even though the Wii has many more consoles to sell, I do not think it'll achieve Mario Kart Wiish sales.

A console based 2D mario game? I know people (who bought DS and Gameboy Advances, even) who have been waiting for this since the N64! 20 Million copies sold, and that's being very modest.
