Forums - Microsoft - "For 360/PC" is an exclusive for 360 (Reasons)

360/pc only games are TO ME not exclusive to the 360.

You could call them Microsoft exclusives, but 360 exclusive? No way.

Also when on ps2/ps3/psp you could call it a Playstation exclusive. Still the fact remains that you don't specifically need a ps3 to play such a game, though they may be totally different experiences.

Alan Wake, Splinter Cell and Mass Effect are not going to sell me a 360.

Also Final Fantasy XIV has been confirmed ps3/pc :p

I like to go back to Final Fantasy VII which was a MAJOR Playstation release back in the day, yet was also on the PC. When you think of FF7, you think Playstation because that was the console it was exclusive for.

Just like how FF14 is exclusive to the PS3.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

I don't like that word

"Console exclusive" could just as easily mean I can't play the game on pc, but only on consoles (since pc isn't considered worthy the title of "console")

BF Bad Company, Street Fighter IV and RE 5 are examples of this (though the latter two may get ported over)

This just means that the game is exclusive for one console in the market place of the consoles. You know that we are talking about the consoles. When I say that Fable 2 is a console exclusivity for the 360, I mean "consoles".

I could argue pc is a bigger competitor to the xbox 360 than the wii is. The three HD brothers: ps3, pc, 360

If pc wasn't competing Microsoft could just release Halo 3, Geow 2, Fable 2, Forza 2, PGR 4 on pc could they not? I'd love to play them.

I would agree that they are 'exclusive' to a large extent.
Think of it this way: If something is coming out for one console and not for the others it still means there is a strong reason to buy that console for the game. Especially coz consoles are way less expensive then any PC. The PC version becomes relevant only if you have a PC which is relatively new/high specs or you happen to need a PC at around that time and so you buy one and pick up the game.

It is better to die on one's feet

then live on one's knees

So then does that mean Final Fantasy XIV is INFACT a PS3 exclusive by this Rule or is the PS3 not a console?

I've been hearing waaay to much hypocrysy about this topic.

Also don't let the PC fanbots (shio, etc...) find this thread, it'll be all hell.

Sorry, but your PC is not a console. And Epic already said why they don't release Gears of War 3 on PC.
