Forums - Microsoft - "For 360/PC" is an exclusive for 360 (Reasons)

No, they AREN'T exclusive. Exclusive means you can't find the games elsewhere. It means you don't have to buy a 360 to play the games. At the end of the day, that's all that matters. In November 2007, if you wanted to play UT3, you didn't have to have a PS3 to play the game. If I want to play L4D, I don't have to have a 360.

And who brought up the PSP as a talking point? What game is shared across the PSP and PS3? LBP? That's a new LBP, not just a downscale of the original. That's like saying Twilight Princess isn't exclusive to the Wii because the DS has the Phantom Hourglass.

PC fanboys need to understand wh don't care if a game is on PC it is not competing with console's.

right can you buy PC games at GAME STOP,BEST BUY, WALMART...?

new's flash sport they are competing with Console's.

and for other's

The PS3 is also a PC.."an though it does not have A Windows OS" you can run Linux and therefore that makes the PS3 also a PC

PC= personal Computer.  AN NOT just That  only counts when you have the Windows OS on a computer. IT does not need Windows OS to be a "PC"

Exclusive To me means only on a single platform. thus it it has another platform that same game can be played on than its not exclusive. its multiplatform

example:

if the "same game" is released on a ps3/pc games that makes that game multi-platform

if the "same game" is released on a xbox360/pc games that makes that game multi-platform

if its rleased on example Wii/DS or PSP/PS3 its multiplatform.

you can call it console Exclusive all you like its still multi-platform if the " exact SAME GAME" is released on more than one platform it's Multi-platform

In My Opinion.:D

I wonder .... if the XBOX 360 didn't share so many of it's games with the PC would this thread have been created ?

Some one trying to justify their purchase eh ?

I disagree.

Ive played both Mass Effect and Gears of War on my PC. I dont see how a game can be marked as a 360 exclusive if Ive never even touched those titles on a 360. Dont matter how you twist words or try to make up some definition to what counts as a product in the 360 family. My view on this still stays the same.. ive never played Gears of War and Mass Effect on the 360, but ive still enjoyed them both. Therefor they can't be exclusive to the 360.

in my opinion prob. not but for some like myself there is too many of the good game's on the xbox360 that are also on the PC. i can understand why microsoft does that..Hell i would do it too , that way they get more sale's of the software. Even people that may not own an xbox360 may pick it up for PC atleast Microsoft still make's money. nothing wrong with that, they are in the industry to make money. Does it hurt the perception of the xbox360 as a viable platform for game Exclusives for some yea. is it that big of a deal in the grand scheme of thing's prob. not.

No, 360 fanboys need to understand that if a game is on another system (PC included), it can prevent sales of a game on that console AND the console itself.

Microsft doesn't get any money from PC games, unless they're the ones developing/publishing it.

And that's becomming quite rare these days as Microsoft seem to be getting rid of the PC based developers to focus on console development.

I suppose they get some royalties if the game uses Games for Windows Live, though.
