Gauntlet mode sounds sooooooo awesome.

Around the Network

He's just yakking about Wii history, Wii Sports, and Wii Motion Plus right now, for the most part. He's leading into something...

That "gauntlet" thing, talking about swordplay, really has me wondering if it really is Zelda Wii...

Whacky!

Put in order...
7:38
Gauntlet in sword play mode has you taking down a bunch of Mii at the same time
7:38
(Think of it as horde mode with big-headed Mii locust)
7:39
When you start a wave you only have three hearts
7:39
Trying to clear the ten stages of this is really a lot of work and very challenging

Hell yeah

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Look on the bright side...with no SMG2 until next year, there is a lot more substance and less whining. Next year they should be releasing SMG2, Metroid, Pikmin (probably), Zelda (probably), and Monado (Monolith's new game). That's pretty killer. This year they have some stuff but most of the amazing stuff is from third parties. Next year good third party stuff will release too (MH3, S&P2, Tales of Graces, etc.)

Is manado even confirmed to bew the new Monolith game?

Maybe it's more of a warning

Miyamoto says he is not a golfer

Former something....

From IGN's version:

6:37 p.m.: "Wii Sports did a great job of getting people off the couch... but I thought we could've improved upon the ability to improve skills within the game," Miyamoto says. He cites basketball as a sport that's hard to do because it's very subtle and hard to recreate in a videogame.

6:40 p.m.: NOA's Bill Trinen is up front again demoing a sword fighting component of Wii Sports Resort in which you travel through a landscape dueling with various Miis on your system. You have only three hearts to make it as far as you can get. "Trying to clear the 10 stages of this is really a lot of work and very challenging," says Miyamoto.

6:41 p.m.: Miyamoto is going to personally take control of a game in Wii Sports Resort. Looks like he might take a stab at some golf.

Gauntlets?

Miyamoto needs food, badly.

Strength of your hit is determined by your back swing

All in real time

He's taking a stance to hit the ball. When he turns his wrist the meter actualy bends, showing that he will either hook or slice the ball
