As far as I know (and I've certainly been paying attention), the two holiday line ups look like this:

Uncharted 2
Ratchet & Clank
MAG
Demon's Souls

-vs-

Halo 3: ODST
Forza 3
Splinter Cell: Conviction (also on PC)
Left4Dead 2 (also on PC)

From a sales perspective, the 360 wins. From a games perspective, its far more subjective. If I hadn't already imported Demon's Souls, the ps3 would win by a landslide for me, because I don't care for racing sims and I'd buy L4D2 on PC (if I bought it at all - I don't play the first all that much).

1st blue. Does that mean Ps3 isnt getting it in the fall?

2nd. I wouldn't be surprised if they announce GT5 for fall release with GT:P compatiblity.

3rd. Jack Tretton 26.00 minutes into E3 confrence "I know everybody is looking forward to MAG dropping in stores this fall"

People forget about the great XBLA titles coming out this year to. Epics, Turtles and what not. I think this year Microsoft is going to edge out Sony, and Sony had a better chance this year with Killzone 2 and Infamous but come the holiday Microsoft will win by both overall rankings and a lot in hardware sales (thanks to no PS3 price drop, again.)

this is how i see the holiday lineups matching up:

September: Halo 3:ODST (X360), Magna Carta 2 (X360), Demons Souls (PS3)

October: Forza 3 (X360), Grand Theft Auto: Tales of Liberty City (X360- retail disc w/ both episodes)

Ratchet and Clank: a Crack in Time (PS3), MAG (PS3)

November: Left 4 Dead 2 (X360), Splinter Cell: Conviction (X360)

Uncharted 2 (PS3)

I'd have to give the nod to the 360 for my personal tastes, but i could understand any uncharted (new one looks awesome)/ratchet fans thinking differently. not to mention all the great multiplats that are coming out (tekken 6, dragon age, bioshock 2, modern warfare 2, assassins creed, etc)

Hm, it seems GT5 may eek it out by December. I had heard rumblings that they were aiming for late November for Japan and early December for NA/EU a month or so back, and it seems the person I discussed this with was right on target.

That would tip things in favor of the ps3 from a sales perspective, but from a quality perpective things would still be pretty subjective.

I just watched a trailer that slated that Katamari Damacy Tribute game as Fall 2009 and I'll be getting that so that's one more thing I guess.

Hey guys, I just watched E3 vids again from PSN HOME.....

Jack Tretton clearly states Heavy Rain and MAG as a Fall 09 title. I think Jeoff K. was wrong which is very likely(IGN was wrong about MGSR exclusivity, mistakes happen).

So there are no delays so far, only that God of War III is exactly where most expected, and GT5 was never announced for this year. That still leaves....
