Worst of the E3 conferences, but better than in years past.

I'd say Nintendo and MS tied. Nintendo had the best game announcements with Metroid, NSMB2, and SMG2, while Microsoft had the best tech.

7/10. Good variety of games, but few exclusives and fewer surprises (not their fault). FFXIV should sell decently despite internet reception. Their console is not going to die after this wave of software support.

PS3 is sold as a complete entertaiment system, and it is priced as one. Falling behind Microsoft as far as they have after today is unacceptable,and they will see sales dive.

Things missing;

Music, better video service, Downloadable full retail games, PS2 B/C via PSN.

Games do not move consoles, new experiances move consoles, and Sony showed nothing that has not been seen before. This was a pathetic showing.

Unless they have press releases covering a lot of holes, they have fallen well behind Microsoft.

They had a decent E3 and i'm excited for some of this stuff.  They definitely had the weakest E3 of them all though.

everything about ps3 we already new, and too much emphasis on the psp, no price cut, no slim ps3, no new IP (relevant no that kart thing that is for kids), OH GOD and NO PS2 BC,

We knew Rock* was making a PS3 exclusive, and they didn't even anything. PSPGo for $250 is just terrible. A lot of the surprises were leaked, so it didn't make them epic or amazing as it would've been.  The motion sensing and that racing game (not GT5) look awful. Too many montages and not enough demonstrations. Final Fantasy XIV was a nice surprise, but it's too bad it was an MMO.

The PSP has a nice line-up, really loved that they announced Resident Evil and showed off MGS: Peace Maker. God of War 3 and Uncharted 2 looked very good.

I really liked the motion controller. well, that's my opinion.

I would give it a 7.5/10

8/10 for Sony
7/10 for Microsoft
6,5/10 for Electronic Arts
and 4/10 for Nintendo and Ubisoft
