It comes with 1 set. For a family you need more. I for one need a setup for 4 people.

Also, I guarantee that you are going to want a wand device like the wiimote or whatever Sony's calling their contraption to go with your Natal. Without buttons and thumbsticks, there are a lot of limits on possible gameplay. So expect to buy four of those for your family as well.

Actually it's worse than the Wiimote, having no attachment for the left hand and thus hardly making possible to play games with movement or which require a few buttons.
That and the Wiimote with WM+ is available like 10 days from now.

I would expect that people will be buying more prop like things. Sorta like with the Wii (See Wii Wheel, see the Wii Zapper) and those things werent free. Except with the Natal you can scan in objects. So if we want a sword we can scan in one of our lightsabers. But like all these things for the Wii they arent required.

yea but at least we have a microsoft rough date. when is the sony thing coming out? no date and hell they still are usig a prototype remote, and only tech demos shown. no real games using it.

You're talking about shells. I'm talking about wireless devices with buttons and thumbsticks. Sure, you could grip the lid of a pot and use it as a steering wheel to get that tactile sense, but squeezing the trigger of a hairdryer isn't going to make your character shoot in the game.
Shells are cosmetic. They heighten the sense of immersion or make control more comfortable. I'm talking about devices which actually open up gameplay possibilities. Or in this case, shut down possibilities with their absence. The wiimote is carefully designed to leave as many old possibilities intact as it opens up new ones. Natal will need some kind of handheld device with batteries and a wireless chip or it's going to close as many doors as it opens, and an old-fashioned gamepad will not be an effective solution.

Does it matter? The big question thing is that neither microsoft nor sony have the ability to produce the amount of quality games nintendo does for their controllers!

I don't think Natal is targetted at games directly. At least not the natal we saw. IMO I would say that Microsoft is going for a market even Nintendo hasn't tapped yet.
