This is of course despite the fact that I'm a 360 fan and Scottie is a Wii fan. Ahh well, it's easier to just play the fanboy card than hear other opinions. |
Not really. I got no problem with Sony at all, they don't (or never used to) appear arrogant about their place in the market, but MS just makes me want to punch them in the face. They have no humility and the attitude they convey is just way too hostile for my liking.
Worst thing they could have done yesterday, directly attack the Wii, was actually done. Nobody in the audience liked it and it just goes to show how doing it and saying it is something else entirely.
“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.
