Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo get's a camera too

It's being made by Ubisoft? then it's not Nintendos. I don't mind. Also it doesn't need to be as advanced. The Nintendo controller input it still king due to it's pointer. Also Nintendo has a mic. it's call a room sensetive Wiispeak. voice recognition is software not hardware.

Actaully this is a good thing. This is a good sign that come to Wii Next Iteration(WiiNI) Nintendo will as I said months ago include a Camera, Mic, LED bar into one bundle. This will also be really good sine it will allow XboxNext and WiiNI to be more cross input compatible.

They dais thet worked very close with Nintendo on it...I'm thinking it's one of those things like Animal Crossing...Ubisoft came to them wanting to make a different kinda fitness game, and Ninty said, "Hey we've been playing with this camera idea..."

...All speculation on my part...>_>

The Interweb is about overreaction, this is what makes it great!

...Imagine how boring the interweb would be if everyone thought logically?

Missing some additional features I bet like voice recognition but seems like the same as MS but just watered down some. Still I was surprised that the game was for the Wii, looked like it was heading to the xbox. Still a good get for Wii.

Ubisoft had a pretty good showing, that TMNT game doesn't seem too great however.

Voice recognition is just software with an audio input. If Ubisoft wanted to implement it on Wii, they could just write up the software and use Wii Speak for the input.

That also means that any voice recognition MS writes for the Natal could use an ordinary headset instead.

This camera of Ubisoft's probably doesn't detect depth like the Natal does, though.

you can kill me, but i believe the Ubisoft camera for Wii will sell more than the NATAL or whatever project

if Ubisoft puts a bit of sport minigames in it, it will sell 7 million for example!

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

i think it's more of an eye toy than a 3d camera

Yep. If it were like Natal, that woman wouldn't have needed to stand perpendicular to the camera for that one exercise where she bent over. There's really no reason why Ubisoft couldn't make this game for Eyetoy.

The product looks pretty good in the promo. The camera allows the program to monitor your form and suggest corrections, even if its 2D perspective is a little limited. These third parties seem to be taking a pretty serious approach to the fitness genre now.

Ubisoft trying to make the same result that happen to M&S Olympic games imo. :D

wow take that MS! :P
but seriously if its a fitness game, its gna be big

I am a PSWii owner. I really like the Natal. This UbiWii Camera is no Natal.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
