Forums - General - Viacom is Youtube's biggest troll

So apparently they think they have the rights to delete the Meet the Scout video off of Valve's official channel? Really now?

They managed to get the video pulled, when the people who created it were the ones who uploaded it... Viacom = troll =/

No I mean... why would they do that.  I mean... Valve will just put it back up and all they can get out of it is bad press.

They have been taking stuff they don't have the rights to down for a while now. Most people on Youtube hate Viacom. Viacom at one point actually was given access to all the Youtube data including everyones viewing history in a lawsuit they somehow won. How the hell is that legal to give out?

Viacom is a Party Pooper

Viacom is to TV as WMG is to music.

Youtube was great once for the see anything/hear anything feel it had. You just typed in whatever you wanted and you got something neat.

Now all the interesting stuff is being pulled and we're left with crappy homemade covers and internet diaries.

At least some of my favorite videos are safe.
