Forums - Sales - Why are 360 owners saying PS3 is FINISHED?

I was originally going to write this in zenfoldor's great thread, but sadly it was locked; I'll post it here then. This all but confirms that the PS3 will remain third place this generation. You see, this year, a lot of Sony fans were touting that the Xbox 360 had no exclusives for the year. We saw no new major exclusives at GDC 2009 or Microsoft Japan's Conference. A lot of Sony fans kept on bragging, and the 360 fans had no titles to retaliate. E3 comes and blows away expectations and Sony fan's redicules.

Only on Xbox 360 can you find AAA exclusive line-up including Splinter Cell, Alan Wake, Halo ODST, Halo Reach, Mass Effect 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Crackdown 2 and much more. Not only did they show an impressive line-up, they also got a very popular franchise, Metal Gear Solid, to the Xbox 360. Xbox Live has raised the bar for online. Natal was a very impressive showing.

Overall, it was a solid franchise and shun all naysayers and PS3 fanboys saying Xbox 360 has no games this year. I can wholeheartely say the 360 line-up this year surpasses the PS3 line-up for this year. Sony better show off some good stuff, or otherwise, my PS3 will be listed on eBay. I change my avatar to honor Microsoft and Xbox 360. Thank you Microsoft. I'm sorry I doubted you.

Lack of intelligence. Microsoft's conference was alright, but certainly nothing to brag about. It's nice that the 360 gets to play MGS games, but if you seriously believe that sony is done because MGS:R (which isn't confirmed to be exclusive) then....wow.

Microsofts was alright? It was completely groundbreaking! The only thing they missed was the two new Rare games.

Way to overreact.

Except for Crackdown 2 and MGS:R to a certain extent, they showed nothing that we were not aware of/did not expect.

It was a very good showing by Microsoft, but hardly groundbreaking.

It was the first showing of Splinter Cell: Conviction/Alan Wakes gameplay and both look excellent. Up until now both games were just ideas, we never knew how they would play out. They were essentially just pictures and a name.

Because the PS3 is finished. You wouldn't buy it if 'some assembly' was required.

Oooh, that works on multiple levels.  The subtle PC gamer humor got me.

nome of those are AAA till they come out

Maybe as I'm a multi console owner I am not as passionate or impulsive as some people after these conferences, but that statement you ave there was terrible!

Project Natal wasn't ground breaking?

That is not just a Eye toy man. It's a full body motion capture system with the ability to scan even what you draw on a piece of paper. It scans you! Natal is definitely from what i'm seeing going to change the way we play gaming. Project Natal is something i only watched in movies and thought i'd have to wait ten years just to try. It's here...its now.

I don't think sony really cares if you put your PS3 on ebay. They sold it to you already and it counts.

Oh, no doubt, it was good stuff, but not even close to ''groundbreaking''.

Who are saying PS3 is finished? Sony is aiming for 10 years plan, can't be finished yet.

I guess then it depends on perspective. When I saw the Alan Wake gameplay the first thing I honestly thought was 'wow, people could still be playing this in 5 years time' as in it looks so slick it simply will not date as fast as other games.
