Am I the only one here insanely excited about Shadow Complex?

Inspired by Castlevania and Metroid?! 10 hours long?! Sign me the fuck up! I love you Epic.

I also am creaming over Splinter Cell. The use of narrative and the comic book style splash page writing on the walls look spectacular. At least they've been doing some good with that lengthy delay and went back to the drawing board. The game looks phenomenal.

Nothing else really got my attention. Milo looks interesting but Molyneux always has more ambition than talent, so I'm skeptical about how interactive he can make this. The water reflections were fantastic though, as was the scanning.

Well, as a PC gamer that uses a PC for most of my 360 "exclusives" it's certainly improved, but I think 2010 looks better. Splinter Cell Conviction looks cool for this yr in terms of exclusives. Feels a bit too early for L4D2... am I the only one that wants Half-Life 2 ep3 instead? And why is Mass effect 2 next year? I was really hoping that it'd be X-mas this yr.

The Metal Gear game is the big announcement, but I think that's multiplat and as they've announced a new Halo game for 2010, I wouldn't expect a new GeoW game until 2011.

Unless the Metal Gear game is exclusive there is nothing so far to make me buy a 360 with my current setup (PC, PS3, Wii), at least in terms of games.

Solid, nothing that makes me really excited.

Nothing to sneeze at though. Yeah, they are milking franchises, but they are certainly not the worst offenders of that (I'm looking at you Nintendo, better have something new)

Another bizarre fanboy comment (it's in the hundreds on this site in the last hour)....i think I should take a break from the internet

3 Ratchet games in 2 years, God Of War 3, Uncharted 2, GT5, Pixeljunk 4, NG Sigma 2, LBP 2....but only MS and Nintendo milk their franchises??

Lol ok. The past two Ratchet games have been very small games, nothing that "milked" anything. It's not like they generated amazing sales or anything. God of War 3 is the last of the series. No more "milking" from them, even though a trilogy isn't even milking at all. U2 is the second game in the franchise, so it's definately not milking. GT5--alright I'll give you that one. Pixeljunk is a PSN only game[at least I'm about 99% sure of that], so if you want to call that milking, go ahead. Ninja Gaiden.. isn't the X360 getting another one too..? Plus, a second game is not milking. And lastly, there has been NO LBP2 announcement, I'm not sure where you heard that from. And again, even if there was one, a second game in a franchise is not milking.

I think you're a little off on what the true meaning of milking is. Milking is making a game just to generate high sales, simply because you know that it will because of the brand name. Milking generally doesn't go along with improving the actual game, so it's basically the same game being rereleased over and over again.

IMO, Halo is being milked[but they said they want to move on from Halo, so good for them], Mario/Zelda/prettymucheveryNintendofranchise is being milked. Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk, and COD are milked[though COD deserves it]. That's just my opinion, though.

?  I only own a Wii (and didn't own a PS, or PS2), and I'm a sony fanboy?

Nintendo has been milking franchises for decades.  Its a fact, and one any one should be able to see.  Please don't toss around fanboy claims so flippantly

ermmm....reading is required. Where did you see me call you a Sony fanboy? I called you a fanboy which was correct. My point was to correct you about that ALL console manufacturers have always milked their franchises. I was curious why you singled out MS & Nintendo. And what was the point of your post?

I'm VERY excited about it. Also Splinter Cell, Alan Wake, and Forza. Those games looked great to me.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

It's improved. It sure as hell beat the PS3's.

Although it's a lot better than Nintendo's. If they don't do something at E3 then they don't deserve the sales they are getting.

Yeah... I agree!!!

Not a 360 fanboy, just a PS3 fanboy hater that likes putting them in their place ^.^

I'm buying MSG JUST to piss off the crazies in the sony fanboy camp....argggghhhh....more 3rd party will bolt to multi-plat...

At least there's two of us. That was my game of the day. Another Metroidvania kind of game? They don't make enough of those. I can't wait for the release. It's this Summer right?

Alan Wake looked pretty decent, but I'm skeptical so far. I didn't like Max Payne at all. I pray for no bullet time.

Forza's just not my cup of tea. I think I managed like 10G total in Forza 2 before I scooped my brain out and ate it out of frustration. I just don't get these car simulator games at all.

Is Shadow Complex a 2d Gears game? It looked cool, but the videos on IGN kept stalling when I tried to use IE (things got better when I used Firefox), so I couldn't tell if it was or not. But what I saw did look like Gears in 2d.

Not at all. It's Metroid/Castlevania with a more sci-fi militaryesque atmosphere. I suppose think of it like Contra action in a Metroid/Castelvania game. One of the highlighted things were the giant map, which is a highlight of Castlevania. Expect great things from this game.
