The ps3 doesn't need to be saved at all. It's selling on par with the Xbox 360 with a 400$ price tag, don't be ridiculous.

I think Sony probably needs some better pitching, maybe trade for an arm like Peavy to bolster that rotation and keep the batting the way it is. I'm not sure what prospects they can give up, but being in Japan may make Peavy use his NTC which can be problematic, but I'm sure if you give him a free PS3, given the system's exorbitant price, that he may be more inclined to waive the NTC. That would really help Sony's rotation and their bullpen is already pretty solid, so you just have to hope the bats don't go silent against the other teams at E3 and they have a fighting chance to win the whole thing.

Personally, I would call up Suikoden VI and Persona 5 because I am somewhat of a sabermetrician, but most fans probably care more about the gaudy BA and HR numbers some of heavy hitters like Halo ODST, Alan Wake, etc. on the Microsoft team. Nintendo just seems to be able to put runs up on the board and I'm not sure how exactly they do it - hopefully they manage to get a big bat in the middle of that line-up to make them all the more dangerous.

If they announce 2-3 shooters then I'll be happy with sony's presentation. I thought that microsoft's conference went okay. The comment about Nintendo was hilarious. The only thing that sucked was finding out L4D2 is not coming to PS3. That's the only game that I feel like I would miss out on. The other trailers/demo didn't really appeal to me that much esp. Conviction. I was hearing alot of good things about this game but that demo wasn't that gr8. If sony does a few of the following announcement then Sony's E3 conference would be gr8.
1. Announce GOW 3 will be out this Holiday Season.
2. Announce Gears 3 will be Multi platform
3. Announce a 50-100 dollar price cut for PS3
4. Announce MGS 5 (excusive to PS3) and MGS Rising (Multi-Platform)
5. Announce Heavenly Sword 2

Sony cant do anything microsoft's announcements were awesome forza will steal all of gt5 thunder because it won't come out till 2010 and im sure allen wake will beat heavy rain's realse personally i really like sony but i think this spells thier doom they take way to long to come out with games and tell us about them way to early.

There's really no reason to buy a PS3 over a 360. MGS is coming to 360. So is Final Fantasy XIII and Tekken 6 along with future DMC and former 3rd party PlayStation exclusive franchises. Forza 3 will come out before GT5 will, and that is a big fail on Sony's part. We will have two Forza games before GT5 comes out. Alan Wake and Splinter Cell look incredible. Halo will be huge. Sony better show off some good stuff at E3, otherwise I'm selling my PS3!!

Annoucing the release dates of some of there upcomming games would probably be enough to beat MS.

The problem Sony has is MS pretty much seems hell bent on one-upping them in everything.

They took away GTA, then Devil May Cry, then Tekken, then Final Fantasy, and now MGS as platform exclusives.

The 360 arguably is the better "set top box" with Netflix, now 1080p HD movies, live TV streaming, and the addition of Facebook + Twitter.

The 360 really right from day 1 has never had a lack of software releases. I think Sony fans keep kinda sitting around thinking like this drought of software on the 360 is going to happen ... but it never materializes.

This fall was supposed to be "weak" for Microsoft, yet they go out and get Left 4 Dead 2, Halo 3 ODST, Forza 3. Alan Wake looks great. They got exclusive content in Modern Warfare 2.

It's just hard to compete again. It was so much easier for Sony back when Sega was easy to school and Nintendo was shooting themselves in the foot every 2 minutes. The competition has just gotten way tougher I think.

Something outside the box, non-game related. the games are already there, the PS3 needs something to make it stand out.

Right now, the Natal stands the 360 above both the Wii and PS3. i don't know what Sony can do to counter that.
