Forums - Microsoft - NATAL is the SHIZNIT!!!

Wow, I can't believe how some of you guys are against this thing. No, it doesn't have any demos, or much of anything at this moment in time. However it has huge potential. If your not smart enough to understand that your either ignorant or a fanboy.

This thing could be a bomb, but it also could be the best thing to come out in decades, only time will tell. And this is coming from someone who so far has a strong dislike for motion controls. This has the potential to be far more than just a simple motion controller! And I am waiting in anticipation for more info.

Yeah it is amazing and looks way better than the Wii remote. I am only not fan of motion controls but it is funny to see MS making montion control stuff more amazing than on the wii :).

it looks way better, even thogh fps', tps', rpgs,(or games that need you to move the character aroound yourself) more than likely wont work on this thing without a controller. but dont worry, im sure it will be better.

I hope it will not work with FPS/RPG's because I don't want to play my games like that X_X.

So many PS3 fanboys in this thread. Oh well, it is to be expected when an innovative product is made by a competing console. I just wish they could accept this instead of trying to downplay it's potential

i talked with a few of my friends who are 360 fanboys. they have no intention of buying that thing. and frankly, i cant blame em. this may be innovative but nobody can see it on a console like the xbox, how do you expect to play an fps or a tps.

You not owning a 360 instantly sets off alarms that your making stuff up.

lol, yeah your right. i should have known you could read my mind and know exactly who i am and who my friends are. oh and me not owning a 360 totally means my friends dont exist right? sorry i must have been mistaken.

wow im really impressed with the xbox Natal. And believe me i hate mothion controls but this might actually be awesome and wortwhile. M$ has way upped the ante it will be interesting to see if the PS3 and wii can even come close to this competition, What do you guys think about Natal? Will it be the next big hit or just a flop???

It's hard to the Wii to come close to second place since it is 20 million ahead and is the market leader for this generation and already established motion controls as a standart. Natal is just an awesome camera that brings the Eye Toy experience to a whole new level, and can't replace the X360 controller as standart.

Talking about the PS3, yep it is pretty f*cked, but I'll wait for tomorrow to see what Sony has in the works. Maybe their "LED controller" is something "even more accurate than any other console".

And Natal will be a big hit yeah. But not as big as WM+ in my opinion.

Anyone else think it's funny how the Wii fans are saying that the 360's motion control is a 'novelty' and a 'gimmick,' whilst hastily shout down anyone who makes the same accusation against their console?

I'm glad you like the idea of it, outside of contradicting yourself in that post, but I'm the type that's more skeptical about things like these, I actually waited until the second half of 2008 to get my Wii is a good example of it since I saw WM+ in action last year, but this..... this is kinda.... meh?

Ok I will say it, I have no attention of buying this or anything based on this from what I saw at this E3. There now you have proof.

I thought it looked pretty good. I liked Eyetoy and this seems to be a step above that and maybe even as usable as the wiimote for motion controls.

I'm looking forward to trying it out one day.

Project Natal is amazing technology, that much is a given. Voice recognition, 3D body recognition, etc. is pretty awesome and foretells what the future has to give. We are now one step closer to technology seen in Minority Report and many other sci-fi movies.

However, the games that have been demoed with this system, is pretty bland and limited. Unless we are allowed to virtually dive into a full 3D environment, like real Matrix-style virtual reality, we can never have FPS, RPG, TPS, etc style types of games without a controller. Many already complain about the lack of a few buttons on the Wiimote, how many of you will start to complain about having NO buttons at all?

Will this bring in some casuals? Depending on pricing, I am sure they will get some. Will this take away anything from the Wii and their fans? Depends....did the Eye toy do anything to Wii sales?
