Forums - Nintendo - Puffy returns - with Nintendo E3 predictions

So I'm back from a 30 day requested ban, I was really busy and needed to focus on other things.. But anyway I'm back now and so I thought I might as well add some fuel to the ever growing prediction fire..

1. Super Mario Wii/Galaxy 2 will be announced. It will have MotionPlus support, it'll be very unique.

2. Wii Fit Plus will be announced

3. Wii Sports Resort will be detailed including most if not all games included being shown/mentioned

4. Pikmin 3 will be announced

5. Zelda Wii will NOT be announced (I'm quite happy to get this one wrong :P)

6. The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks will be shown perhaps with a rough release date

7. Art Academy will be announced as a DSi-Only title

8. DSi VC will NOT be announced

9. Metroid Prime Trilogy will be shown

10. Fire Emblem Wii may get a mention, either way I think it's coming.

11. Graphs and montages of people playing Nintendo games will be shown

12. No new major peripherals will be announced

13. I don't think Retro Studio's new title is ready to be shown, it'll be out in 2010 if anything as they are working on more than one title hence the dev time will be longer for both titles.

14. Last chance for Kirby Wii, if it isn't shown then I think it's been H.A.M.M.E.R.E.D.

On another note, if Art Academy is an EAD title, I highly doubt a Star Fox title is in development. If it were then it would be an outsourced game.

Oh and Mario Party 9 is possible but the end of this year may be a bit crowded for Nintendo's liking.. Next year..

EDIT: Almost forgot Factor 5.. Well who knows.. PilotWings would be great.. Other than that.. Kid Icarus isn't coming and perhaps Turrican is? My bet would be PilotWings or Turrican. If anything.

Not one you mentioned Kid Icarus or Donkey Kong

welcome back puffy, self imposed exile lol

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

haha thanks man, I don't see how Kid Icarus could possibly fit in with what Nintendo seem to be doing.. Donkey Kong is another that I don't see.. DK has been pretty low on the radar in recent years.. WiiWare or DS DK I could see from a second party but nothing huge..

Again though, I've never been able to predict what Nintendo have shown at any E3 so the good news is we will be surprised no matter what we expect is coming.

yes but IGN IGN IGN said in the 2nd last Nint. podcast b4 E3 that something big (accompanied with monkey sound effect) was coming. Matt said it was ok for fans but really good for Nintendo strategy.

So its going to be DK, Mario, WF+ and maybe one or two other first party but again we have no friggin idea.

maybe its a DK Mario hybrid. That would be awesome.

I'm pretty sure that was Metroid Prime Trilogy they were refering too :P They said it was good to get new people into the franchise (3 games for the price of one), ok for fans (as they already own the games but it was cool none the less to have a trilogy), I don't see how DK fits in apart from their choice of cover up sounds.. Also I'm sure they've used those monkey sound effects before..

edited to show my opinion more clearly
