I think it's interesting that not only is Wii software selling very well in the UK, but third party software is selling well. Granted, it is mostly EA games which are selling, but it does put the lie to the claim that only Nintendo games sell on Nintendo systems. Quite a few third party games are selling well on DS too. And it's not just this week - it can be seen every week since ChartTrack started breaking down the Top 40 by individual format.

To early to tell, one prediction i will make fifa 2008 released next week on the ps3 will out sell the wii version.

nice evidence.  Look at the hardware and software sales, they are downright awful, HS is supposed to be a big game, but it debuts at 7 and proceeds to drop like a rock.

The fact is compared to the summer the number of ps3 games charting in the top40 chart has significantly improved and soon the ps3 will have as many games in top 40 as the wii and 360. Next week the ps3 version of fifa 2008 will outsell the wii version and it might outsell the 360 version. Bundles have been around for a long time for the 360 and they did next to nothing, only a price cut has made any difference. The ps3 in europe is due a price cut and when it gets one things will signficantly improve. Also both the wii and 360 have had most of their top franchises released or are about to be released where as most of the ps3's best games will be out next year and that's when the ps3 will pick up.

Maybe that's because a whole lot of games just got released? Expect that to drop, not rise. The PS3 has two or maybe three more big games this year left.

I'm sure next year Microsoft and Nintendo won't release any games at all. Wii Fit and Mario Kart definitely aren't big titles. If you think Nintendo and MS will sit back and watch as PS3 games get released then you are in for a shock. Plenty of Nintendo's big franchises haven't seen a Wii release yet, expect to see them in 2008.

You dont say new games have come out for the ps3 *sarcasm*, it's amazing how that works, when not many ps3 games get released not many chart, when more games come out more chart. Over the summer the ps3 had very few games released. From september onwards the ps3 has more games being released than the wii in the uk and more will chart, get over it.

Ps3 fifa 2008 will out sell the wii verson and then i said MAYBE the ps3 will also outsell the xbo360 version, and why did i say that? On the amazon uk chart, on the play.com chart and on the game.co.uk chart the ps3 version of fifa is out selling the xbox360 version and has been doing so for over a month.

In america the price drop improved sales significantly for the ps3. In the uk without a price drop the xbox360 and ps3 were neck and neck but the ps3 was ahead overall in europe. When the xbox360 price drop came in the 360 sales in the uk the doubled and the xbox360 went slighty ahead in europe. With a price drop in europe for the ps3 it would match the xbox360's sales in the uk and dominate the 360 in europe overall.

Im sorry it's hard for you to accept but in 2008 sony have more top rated proven million selling games coming out then any other company. In 2008 in terms of exclusive million sellers the ps3 has:
