In my humble opinion, for a new gamer (joined this or the previous generation) Wii will be seen as a "gimmick" compared to the HD platforms and that's quite understandable.

Yet, if you began gaming in the NES, SNES or even previous eras / generations, conventional control schemes / play styles would have tired you, at least I am. And I'm clearly not talking about Wii Music or Wii Play here, that's too hollow for a seasoned gamer to enjoy for huge amounts of time.

I'm talking about games like Zack & Wiki and Boom Blox, games at heart so refreshing that an old-school gamer can say "at least, something fresh and new that works". In that sense, I think that playing with my Wii (hmmm) I really feel like "Playing", while when I turn on my PS3 I know that I'll experience a perfectioned version of what I've been playing for the past 20 years or so.

How many iterations of Mario Kart have there been? How many numbers would Zelda have by now? A sequal without a number is no less a sequal.

Yeah Nintendo has good first party games, but that's it. Lots of Wii owners have already admitted there aren't many good games.

While the PS3 is may not be affordable to the average guy who didn't work hard in school and wound up with a shit job, it has great games any many great features.

Yeah, only Nintendo games on Wii are good games. It really says a lot about other companies if they are all outdone together by the games of a single company.

Fixed. I seem to remember plenty of third party offerings on GC that were at least on par with first party offerings.

It's worth it. But Rol attempts to show how HD consoles are attempting to become more like PC's while Wii maintains the traditional Console values.

That isn't the point. OkeyDokey was just cherry-picking to make the Wii look bad, as usual.

It was just as easy for me to do the same thing.

Wow people here really seem to hate the PC. Whats wrong with PC gaming? So what if consoles are becoming more and more like PCs. Personally thats a good thing. Better graphics and you dont have to upgrade hardware every year to play the latest and greatest games. Just slap a wii mote on a PC and it can do Hell of alot more than the wii can. Anyone who disagrees with this is only fooling themselves.

LOL, then ps2 wasn't a console because it's RPGs and first party were single player, also very few third parties games had 2 players(basically only fighters)
