Forums - Gaming - Score! Amazing yard sale find! FF7 black label, pristine for $5.

I guess this guy just didn't know what he had.  I bought a copy of FF7 with the black label from him for $5.  It looks like he barely touched the game.  The discs are in pristine shape and it still had the registration form for the Playstation Underground.  I'm almost certainly going to turn this around for a profit on E-bay or something.  Anybody else ever stumble upon any great yard sale/garage sale finds?

wow that's like 100$ profit on that one. Nice score.

Of course, my wife wasn't able to appreciate this find at all. I had to come here and try to share it with people who'd understand the importance.

Hah 5 dollars. How about free?

I had a couple original FF7s. Gave them both away to friends because I hated the game.

I had a bunch of games in the past that I've gotten rid of and years later their worth a lot. I used to have Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the PS2, but the worst one is probably when I had Radiant Silvergun and Panzer Dragoon Saga for the Saturn near the end of its life-span and got rid of everything for not much money. Facepalm!

What?  I'd rather give a game away to someone I know is going to appreciate it then sell it to some stranger.  Not to mention back then was well before the debut of Ebay.  So it would of just been selling it to EB games or something.

Chances are if someone is spending money to get the game from you they are going to appreciate it much more than someone you just gave it to for nothing...

Ebay went public in September 1998. Final Fantasy VII came out in January 2007. So within a year and a half's time you had bought several copies of a game you didn't like?

Crusty VGchartz old timer who sporadically returns & posts. Let's debate nebulous shit and expand our perpectives. Or whatever.

Damn you. I had to pay $35 for a freakin platinum.
