-Halo 3, what can I say, still the best.

-Huxley is an unreal tournament style deathmatch game which is coming exclusively to the 360.

-Perfect Dark was a great game. We could be seeing a part 2 at E3 so keep assuming.

 

Mag is just another Socom with more players. When that game comes out, no one will care about Socom. On consoles 360 fans have the most diverse shooters. Technically they are spoiled. PS3 shooters all have the same genral idea and have no creativity.

I'm sorry dude, as a person who used to have a lot of respect for your posting, I must speak up. This here is bogus, you talk about no creativity? WoW.....I really don't get that. ALL of Sony's shooters are different from one another, and offer quite unique experiences. Also, how can MAG be another Socom, MAG isn't even in 3rd person to start with. I mean, if you're talking FPS, Resistance and Killzone are still VASTLY different, regardless of genre.

You would have thought that Sony did something personal to you, I'm seriously surprised at this post here. I thought you were better than that.....

You thought he was better?  CGI, where have you been; I mean you were a member of this site way before me, and have yet to realize STAGE's major bias?  He makes ridiculously false claims about the PS3 sometimes, so I thought it hard to not realize his not-so-subtle bias towards the 360.  Usually when he posts, especially in PS3 threads, I just ignore what he has to say or I risk becoming furious and argueing with him.


Prove me wrong instead of becoming furious. Blind belief causes people to get angry, so prove you have a point. CGI actually debates with me, which is why I respect him. PS3 fanboys have a problem with being the most biased and aren't exactly shy about it. I'm here for purposes of balance. I've played a variety of games unlike them playing only with one system. Deal with it.

KZ2 is graphically outstanding, and a good game. Compared to the single player campaigns of games like Half Life 2 or COD MW it is average. Multi-player wise Halo 3 still takes the crown followed closely by L4D (IMO). I dont like comparing Gears to KZ2 because they are completely different in my eyes. Personally, enjoyment wise, I loved Gears 1 & 2 much more, but hey, that's me.

Honestly, I think what might have hurt this game for me, and perhaps others, was the unstoppable hype train I was force-fed on this site and others regarding KZ2's awesomeness prior to picking up my PS3. I went in expecting so much, only to come away thinking..."Fun, looks amazing, but not best FPS ever like so so many are apparently brain-washed into believing."

All in all I agree with you complaints regarding KZ2 Starcraft, because I felt the same in many ways.

Regardless of personal opinion I do agree that it is a great game, and a must own for any PS3 library.

Ok so you admit that Halo 3 was good and Gears was different, but you have to say you've never strafed and back peddled in a zombie game more than L4D. Come on, admit it. Come on :)

^^Halo 2 made the best control scheme template for an FPS on a console. Halo 1's Legacy controls sucked ass and I never understood why people liked Halo. Halo 2 changed all that, along with Halo Evolved. Halo 3's graphics are a disappointement, but I can understand why it's so good, since it brought over Halo 2's online awesomeness.

Uncharted 2 multiplayer is gona poop all over GoW2's.

Gears 2 and Uncharted 2 are totally different games. Gears 2 is brutally disgusting game with better weaponry and finishers, while Uncharted is a great game with nice cover and interaction with the level itself.

Both are 3rd person shooters and have online multiplayer, so they certainly aren't "totally" different, they just arent the exact same. With that said, Uncharted 2 is going to own the 3rd person shooter, hectic bullets flying everywhere genre.


I never played either Uncharted, nor GeoW I and II, but isn't GeoW a standard cover system shooter, whereas Uncharted 2 also emphasizes platforming and stealth?

Yes, but Uncharted also has you shooting a gun in the 3rd person a whole hell of a lot too. There are other elements to the gameplay that make the game great, but one of its core features as a game is its a 3rd person shooting game.

Killzone 2 is a great game if you can bring yourself to put up with its retarded "weighted" control scheme.

It just couldn't hook me like CoD4, and now Left 4 Dead, though. Left 4 Dead is fucking incredible btw.
