Forums - Nintendo - Grinder: Trailer of Grainy filters and trashy towns

It's amazing that they have 4-player online co-op AND local splitscreen. I was really interested in Left 4 Dead, it's great that we get a game like that on Wii.

Too bad it comes out in holiday 2010. Yup, we have to wait a year and a half for this.

# of games above 75 on Metacritic (including downloadable):

360: 241     DS: 144

PS3: 152     PSP: 126

Wii: 85

what I mean is that they said "from the makers of the conduit and (something else). Conduit isn't even out yet. So they are simultaneously making games alongside each other. It's actually a respectable feat given the size of the company.

Although one is nearly finished, and the other just started, so it's not quite simultaneous. It's just being efficient, which developers like HVS are known for.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

I think HVS revealed these two games because they want to build hype for The Conduit. I think it's a great strategy, and it's definitely working :)

Add me for Pokemon, New Leaf, and Fire Emblem, Mario Kart 8.

I just thought about how much it must suck to be a developer in HVS and not able to develop good games like this, but the licensed ones. While yes you get paid the same, you don't get the pride of trying your hardest to make something good, and you have follow deadlines and such.

But it did get them a lot of experience in making games efficiently. Their work is possible now because of that.

I'm talking about the developers who have to work on the licensed games now while other members of HVS get to develop these games. I agree it gave them a lot of experience though.

Honestly I wasnt too impressed with Left 4 Dead. I played it a bunch on my brother's PC but it didnt interest me enough for a purchase. Very repetitive.

Grinder looks good but it its too similar to L4D then I might pass. Still got over a year till they ship so we shall see.

yeah I guess you're right. I guess I was just so surprised that they are producing three games in such a short interval.

They're likely a bit larger than we thought, and/or just being really efficient. They've likely worked on simultaneous games before. The fact that The Conduit is nearly done helps that.
